Limited edition at SELECT stores. At least that's what it says. Only available in major city locations I guess? I'll just have to order it, because I'm a completist.

I was wondering, will there be a limited and a standard edition? That's what I don't understand...

it says :

"The limited-edition CD features Sonic Youth fans from music, film and literature selecting their favorite recordings from the band’s voluminous body of work that dates to 1981. It also includes a new, exclusive track from Sonic Youth, “Slow Revolution” recorded last year with longtime producer John Agnello."

sounds more like a "limitedly distributed edition"... as you said (didn' read your last post yet).

Hip Hop changed music forever. So did Rave. So i'd call that a musical revolution

el micky 06.02.2008 05:37 AM

the thing with revolutions is that they just go round in circles

pbradley 06.02.2008 05:50 AM

Are we talking about "revolution" again? The word has been abused for decades. The world does not revolve around you, the revolution can only occur within the self. It is an inherently personal phenomena, the social event definition is a lie of assuming that thousands of individual revolutions are in fact a collective revolution. When one discovers the new truth, one discovers it entirely on their own.

This is to say there is no revolutions in music other than the revolution of your experience of music.

nicfit 06.02.2008 06:08 AM

dance dance revolution.

Androol 06.02.2008 12:08 PM

so has anyone stolen this song yet?

el micky 06.02.2008 12:39 PM

i think we can all agree that talking about a revolution by tracy chapman sums all this up perfect;ly

noisereductions 06.04.2008 12:13 PM

The main page says you can order it from the Starbucks site, but when you follow the link there's no listing for it as an upcoming release and searching the site for "sonic youth" brings up nothing.

mil_pl 06.04.2008 12:39 PM
