Here is my pedal board:
Dano Chili Dog Octave
EHX Frequency Analyzer
Johnson Stereo Chorus
Boss Blues Driver
Dano Tuna Melt Tremelo
Dano PB+J Digital Delay
*not pictured Arion SAD-3 stereo analog delay (I need to fix the switch, it is broken)

I left a lot of room on the pedal board on purpose. I can fit a lot more pedals on there.

Things I'm planning on getting:

I'm also going to build two pedals- the Expresso- which will be a CV sequencer with an LFO and an expression pedal, as well as the Mr. Filter- which will pretty much be a simple pedal with several kind of filters built in that will be compatible with the Expresso. I'm also going to mod my frequency analyzer and my PB+J so they are compatible with the expresso as well.

Before that though, all my money is going to my amp repairs and buying a 4x10" for my bassman head. Plus I got to figure out what will be the best way to record the first Spectral Presence album.

By next January, I'll have one fricking heavy pedal board.

I've got serious guitar GAS though. I want a tele or something. I hope that doesn't get in my way.

As for the Boss CH1, It just wasn't 'deep' sounding enough for me. I think something was wrong with it. The Small Clone sounds better with my Rat than that one did. We cover a Husker Du song sometimes and I can sound pretty close to Mould's tone.

Good luck in sound school! What will that be like? Recording techniques and stuff?

yo man! yeah, I always keep my earplugs close to me. Since I went on tour with SADUS I lost something like 20% of my right ear capability and I don't wanna fuck it up anymore.

as for sound school, i'm graduating from the first year of studies soon. started off on nov. 2005, will have exams on june 12 and 14. recording techniques, mic placement, tracking, use of digital software (cubase) and of analogic equipment was all we had to do. it helped me tremendously.

we're tracking the guitars for the recs of the flesh demo tomorrow!!! it's almost done, drums + bass are gone. we have 3 songs on the way. can't wait to upload it!!!

Do you have tinnitis?

nopes, i think i just lost something. i should be testing the ears soon again, docs will let me know. hope it's nothing serious.

but earplugs are a blessing. wear them if you can when you feel it's too loud.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 06.09.2006 07:35 PM

Definitely. They filter out noisey frequencies too and you can actually hear live music better.

max 06.09.2006 07:37 PM

right on! there are several types of earplugs that are actually excluding low frequencies. i think i'm gonna get a pair of those.

i found a piece of wood that i used for my pedal board. isnt it lame, having a pedalboard for only 3 pedals?

max 06.12.2006 08:20 PM

no it's not man. it's cool to have your shit set up tight!

Not really. Makes it much more convenient. Especially at gigs where you have about 2 minutes to get set up.
