further America already has an extensive history of abusing its own population. if it can happen with american guns and money and troops in places like Colombia and Iraq, why not here? If American forces can incarcerate arabs and latin americans, why not americans? If it happened in the past to Indians, Africans, the Japanese, what separates us from them? nothing..

Yeah, we all already now all about those things. It hasn't happened yet, and so it's pretty fucking unlikely. But if you're worried about it, you should be emailing and calling your congressman every fucking day to spout off against the indefinite detention ideas that are currently floating up there. Are you?

The funny thing is, it doesn't necessarily have to be inevitable. But it's the people who cling blindly to tradition, greed, selfishness, etc even when doing the opposite is actually for the better good of the country that will lead to its downfall. I'm not really sure exactly what you're saying about rebellion? Are you saying it's a bad thing? Because that seems like it totally goes against everything you've ever said on this board. I think rebellion for its own sake (like the MTV brand of rebellion) is definitely bad because it replaces valid action with badboy showboating, but rebellion in the form of actual, forward social change is good.

Well that's a pretty unfair ratio then. Global captitalism has killed millions more. Hundreds of millions even?
