That's true to an extent, unfortunately Im not going to bother saving up 1200 for a tank. Reverb is not worth the price of a nice guitar to me. Especially in a live setting where it doesnt matter as much.

Never used spring on the holy grail, I dug the hall setting. It sounded great, until it started acting like shit and sounding like shit.

Boss don't let you down at least.

hey man, thanks so much, always great to learn from your expertise on these matters.

yeah, i've bought shotgun rodes before (for a class i taught) and they are a great bang for the buck. i wasn't aware of their large condenser models but i'l check them out.

my current boom mics are a panny camera mic that does double duty (it's a bit small for a boom but i manage) and the sony i mentioned is on a free loan basis-- i forget the model-- it's decent, not great. then i have a long audio-technica shotgun which was my first mic ever and it's meh-- i should put it on ebay.

my current studio mic is an AT2020 which came free when i bought a digirack 003. it's not great, but it gets the job done for now and it was free/worked into the price so it's great ha ha.

i'll check out all of those you mention and put them in my want-to list. realistically, i probably would get a k6/me66 before the mkh60... $$$! (like 3 times more). not sure of the au$/us$ exchange rate... vs. the euro-produced mic = rising prices :(

terminal pharmacy 12.15.2009 04:14 PM

me66's here http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...All-Categories

I use large diaphragm rodes in my studio, and i am starting to see more and more rode mics show up on professional stages when i am doing floor sound and monitors. and i have used their nt5 pencil condensers a few times for overheads including on some aria award winning bands in australia so they are not too shabby.

The time and misery put in to get it is sickening, but oh well.

It is basically an infinite drum set.

Can't right now. Maybe in February. Xmas plus my trip to California in mid-January are hurting my wallet.

DeadDiscoDildo 12.16.2009 01:07 AM

How I use the Boss Pedal for anyone interested

(btw, this is not thru my bassman amp, that's getting fixed. This is thru my fender stage 112 amp.
