and anyway, "classic albums" surely depend on who your asking, so do people object because they don't like the choice or because they genuinly dislike fond memories and hearing songs they love played live?

Yeah... but I don't think any Dino album is "classic" but I can see how people would think that. It makes sense. I don't think I'll ever meet anyone who thinks Milk Man is a classic, though; one, it was just released a few years ago; two, I dunno anyone who counts that as their fav Deerhoof album. Just weird.
