Yes. I admit, I stand corrected with points like: Interpol is popular or major labels spend more money on promotion wow, that's some deep shit! I mean think about it, I would have never bought the new Sonic Youth album if it wasn't for Geffen's promotion......wait, where did I see any....I can't remember...Isn't advertising funny. It's not like the name "Sonic Youth" itself has any promotional value. All praise to Geffen! Let's us pray now "original" that the kids of Jackson Mississippi will have future SY albums. |

if it wasn't for Geffen's money in getting 100%, Bull in the heather, or Dirty Boots played on MTV, then you wouldn't be a fan. you stand corrected on everything you've said. next;) |
Jesus....i'm sure you already know this...but koriginalchickenchris is a troll...most of us have had run-ins with him and don't respond or put him on ignore....you'd probably have more fun debating satan....
Thanks spirit. I should have known that chickenshitracist(original) was a troll.
Yeah...bring it on Satan. I'll crush your balls |
KhChris isn't a troll. He's a cunt. A very opinionated cunt.

Sub Pop Gets With Destijl By: Spacelab Research Staff Seattle and Minneapolis - two tastes that taste great together. Seattle's Sub Pop Records has come to an agreement with the Minneapolis-based label Destijl to release CD versions of select titles that Destijl puts out from now on. Rated 16 on Arthur Magazines “80 Goddamn Good Things Of 2004” by Byron Cooley and Thurston Moore, the label specializes in vinyl only releases of artists like Hototogisu, the Michael Yonkers Band, and Ed Askew. DeStijl has worked with Sub Pop before, but this is the first time they've made a formal agreement out of it. As a matter of fact, Sub Pop's staff was so impressed with the label's good taste in artists and consistent quality, they proposed a distribution deal, saying that Destijl head Clint Simonson has "one of the most interesting and unique musical points of view in the world, not to mention phenomenal taste." He did introduce Wolf Eyes to Sub Pop, after all. The first release under the agreement will be Hototogisu’s Chimarendammerung, due out on September 26th. |
sub pop is shitty nowadays anyway.
I'm looking for Creamsicle on the subpop website, but it's not there yet. Hopefully it'll be there tomorrow!
I think the initial listing may have been a mistake. If not, I dont know why we haven't heard anything about it yet.
So it never turned up :(
Damn you, Brainwashed! |
I think we should all relax and have a cup of tea.
The listing on brainwashed was erased a day after I've posted the info on www.saucerlike.com. strange...
Conspiracy?

I dunno I have a feeling they are going to sign to Geffen again, although as khchris said I don't think geffen has done enough to promote SY. Lets face it Geffen is a sinking ship, its not the label it used to be. I don't think SY are gonna have a problem signing to another major though. I think there will be loads of them knocking down the door
hey so what about that single ? Has anyone got it yet? what does it sound like ?
...there is no new single
once again yr on form with the inside scoop..
fair play |
