It's actually the same as PLANNING to run off on purpose within the formative years of a child's life, and doing it anyway. At least a good portion of people who run out on their families kind of "freak out" or "snap" suddenly, not that it's any defense. Having a kid when you're in your 90s is far more deliberate.
