Ooh. Shit. Yeah. Probably. I'll just find another link here. I don't know where my mp3s of it are. That was just from some forum.

Anyways, NEW FLYING LOTUS!!!

SYRFox 05.10.2010 12:23 AM

IS FUCKING MINDBLOWING!
Table Tennis for the win. Also: Recoiled & Computer Face.
Hell yes.

(don't bother about the Ancestors mix... i've actually found it on soulseek. It's really great!)

HaydenAsche 05.10.2010 12:38 AM

Yes, dude. Yes. More than pleased with this output. I absolutely love Flying Lotus.

nicfit 05.10.2010 03:26 AM

All fans of rock music who are still alive at this present moment have to listen to this...

alyasa 05.10.2010 07:47 AM

And once you're sick of all of that; you can always move on to this:

ha ha I suck with labels, I was asking more than making a point he he.

SYRFox 05.10.2010 10:13 AM

why are you listening to music if not for labels?:confused::confused:

nicfit 05.10.2010 10:24 AM

for the fashion.

ni'k 05.10.2010 10:46 AM

the sirrish ep is really good and odd. there are some things going on it that i havent heard before.

SYRFox 05.10.2010 11:22 AM

I'll check it out.
I bought the first Mr. Oizo today, Analog Worms Attack. I know you'll probably wonder why I'm talking about it as he's mainly known for house/electro tunes, but this album is pretty damn close to some wonky and stuff. Instrumental hip hop with tons of analog synths and stuff. You should really check it out, it's awesome.

ni'k 05.10.2010 11:24 AM

yeah when it first came out i was really young and tried to buy it but couldnt afford it. i get what your saying about the wonky.

SYRFox 05.10.2010 11:26 AM

Eheh. I actually bought the Flat Beat single when it came out. Of course I was too damn young to even think about buying the album. But Flat Beat brings back child memories, it's funny. I think the album just got reissued, a few months ago I couldn't find it anywhere, and now it's available everywhere for 13€. Neat
Also, incidentally, The Gaslamp Killer sampled the bassline from Analog Wormz Sequel on his mix I Spit On Your Grave (awesome mix by the way).

ni'k 05.10.2010 11:28 AM

here's the site for the sirrish ep you'll find like a shittoon of other free albums and eps. its great.

SYRFox 05.10.2010 11:34 AM

Thanks a lot! Downloading this EP right now, and I'll check more for sure.

Also:
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to ni'k again.

SYRFox 05.11.2010 06:04 AM

I'm listening to it right now and it sounds fucking excellent so far.

_slavo_ 05.11.2010 06:26 AM

Is there any record that you don't consider fucking excellent/mindblowing/totally awesome, SYRfox?
Besides the obvious choice of latest Celine Dion, of course.

shabbray2.0 05.11.2010 09:11 AM

celine dion?
(damn I wondered why I havent been in this thread, like never, know I know it)

ni'k 05.11.2010 10:17 AM

well it is a particularily excellent ep.

yes, but i have other things to do than talking about it... talking about the records i consider excellent/mindblowing/totally awesome, for instance

_slavo_ 05.11.2010 10:41 AM

That was a totally mindblowing response, tre bien, tres magnifiques

SYRFox 05.11.2010 10:46 AM

I know, I know. But that's real, actually. I don't really like talking about music I do not enjoy (okay, I talk shit about The Mars Volta all the time but hey, it's mostly for fun), because I do not have a lot of things to say about them, and other people may enjoy them. Among 2010 albums I listened to, for instance, I found those Clipd Beaks, Mux Mool, MGMT (okay I hated the first one) records boring, and I was quite disappointed by Mi Ami's new one (though it may just be because I haven't listened to it enough). But I don't really feel like opening a thread about each of them to say "Yeah, I found them really boring". I prefer by far talking about things that actually excite me, that I want to share with other people.

SYRFox 05.16.2010 10:06 AM

Zomby - Spliff Dub (Rustie Remix) feels like a colony of 8-bit acid ants creeping their way into my ears up to my brain and slowly parasitizing every single nerve to induce euphoria

SYRFox 06.12.2010 12:52 PM

Okay it's not technically dubstep, but it definitely has dubstep elements, and this track is killing me right now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F35lFyHfQk

SYRFox 07.19.2010 02:10 PM

Skream & Benga at Dour Festival on saturday was so awesome I nearly cried. Seriously.

Beautiful Plateau 07.20.2010 05:52 AM

5 Years Of Hyperdub, a 2 CD compilation, is a great introduction to the style, I feel.

atsonicpark 07.20.2010 05:53 AM

no doubt

so many classics

Glice 07.20.2010 06:30 AM

That 5 years of hyperdub is one of the best compilations I've heard in yonks. This is all.

SYRFox 07.20.2010 12:22 PM

Yeah, it's simply perfect. There's no bad track on it, and most are fucking classics.

SYRFox 07.27.2010 04:41 PM

CMYK by James Blake is haunting me right now. Sooo good. Somewhere between Mount Kimbie, Burial and Scuba, I guess. Awesome track.

I know, right? It's unbelievable. It's the perfect compilation. Every listen yields new surprises. Right now I'm just fucking losing it to Darkstar's "Aidy's Girl is a Computer" and Zomby's "tarantula".

Been really into Zomby lately, period. Always catches me off guard..

Kylerobert 08.10.2010 11:03 PM

I know there has been a few artists mentioned already.
But I just got this compilation and it rocks. Are there any albums from specific artists on here that are especially great? I have most of Zomby's stuff. And I got the new Ikonika. Anything else thats "must have"?

SpaceCadetHayden 08.11.2010 02:28 AM

Everything King Midas Sound.

Also, Eskmo, Eprom, jazzsteppa, and durben are all really doing there thing right now.

SpaceCadetHayden 08.11.2010 02:32 AM

Also, Flying Lotus' new shit is off the chaiiiiin.

SYRFox 08.26.2010 07:18 AM

Shackleton's mix for Mary Anne Hobbs show last night was maaaaaaaaad stuff. Hallucinatory waves. Incredible. Get it!

noisereductions 08.26.2010 08:22 AM

I really dn't know shit about dubset. I have a Burial album. I have a Field album. (That's dubstep right?) that's about it. I should check a compilation. Becuz I find the bulk of music really boring these days. I'd say there's been less than a dozen albums released this year that I even like.

PAULYBEE2656 08.29.2010 04:47 AM

is dubstep still in existence...shit that must be 18 months now is it????

SYRFox 08.29.2010 05:24 AM

It's more in existence than ever. Also, it has existed for nearly 10 years now, not 18 months...

Burial is indeed dubstep, but The Field is minimal techno (though he's really ace!). And yes, you should really get into dubstep, cause the amount of amazing records being released in that style is incredible (though there's also a fair load of crap - producers that believe that kicking some aggressive wobble and messing with the rhythm of it is enough to make a great tune.).
