i guess not...in the dream, it was after one of her shows & we were like friends or something...she wanted to hear some songs of mine

cosmokramer 09.01.2006 02:39 AM

about a month ago, one of my friends made a bunch of spicy chicken for dinner.
we ate and took a night walk, and that night i was really tired and went to sleep very thirsty and having had nothing to drink.
So i fell asleep and i dreamt that i was getting ready for the day, and i after i took a shower i went to my fridge and drank like 10 glasses of water.
connection...spicy chicken...dreaming about drinking...i think so.

I had a fucking bad dream this night

I dreamt I went to a party with my ex-girlfriend and the party was full of my present colleagues at work. And all of them were really evil and mean and always when we got to some room to hang out, all of the people suddenly left. So we ended up sitting in a couch in a white room and my ex just told me: "See and this is what you get for being such a bitch".

and then I woke up sweating.

jon boy 09.01.2006 09:09 AM

i dreamt that i was being tortured in a chair by having electric currents passing through my body. it was so awful. it happened over ten years ago and i remember it well to this day.

my recent dreams have involved my body breaking down in some way.

Inhuman 09.01.2006 09:22 AM

I had a dream last night about my stepdad filling out a prescription sheet for drugs that enhance his sexual performance. I should cut down on the drinking.

Dreams definitely do have meanings but the stuff they say in any of those dream books is complete crap. Dreams can tell you stuff about yourself, psychotherapists analyse dreams of patients as part of their jobs but the only way they can make any kind of analysis is if they actually talk to the person because they need to find out associations the person has with things in the dream. Those dream books just say that certain things always represent somthing in particular but that isn't true, what things represent in people's dreams is to do with their own associations, you can't generalise it. And you definitely can't predict the future from your dreams, thats just stupid superstition.

porkmarras 09.01.2006 09:56 AM

Who said that dreams are generated by something that we say during the day but we don't pay much attention to and resurfaces in our dreams while we sleep?

wikithread 09.01.2006 10:01 AM

they're mostly a gathering of thoughts that have occured during the past little while. sometimes when you're in a deep sleep it accesses your long term memory.

Lurker 09.01.2006 10:03 AM

Dreams represent our subconscious.

wikithread 09.01.2006 10:05 AM

Yeah! I'm using wikithread!

porkmarras 09.01.2006 10:08 AM

Oh,silly me!I should have asked wikithread.

Inhuman 09.01.2006 10:08 AM

I'm reading a book on consciousness now actually. Keep in mind you can still express what is called "Qualia" when you're dreaming. Qualia are the subjective interpretations you cannot describe the intensity of to other people, such as what sounds you are hearing, the amount of love, how red that tablecloth is, etc...

You are in fact mentally conscious when dreaming :)

Toilet & Bowels 09.01.2006 10:34 AM

my uncle practices various therapy techniques and he told me that analyzing dreams is one of the least affective ways of getting to the route of a problem or finding out what a person is thinking. he says it's mainly in the therapists own interest to take this approach as it is a very slow process and is more to the benefit of the therapist (more sessions = more money) than the patient.

h8kurdt 09.01.2006 11:11 AM

I had an odd dream about Cantankerous last night which was rather odd and also quite worrying.

Not only psychologists, but now scientists aver that to be exactly the case.

I had a dream with Hayden in it. We were just talking while driving on the freeway. There was something before Hayden showed up, but I don't remember it.

HaydenAsche 09.01.2006 11:26 AM

Sweet. I feel loved. I've dreamed about the board but never anyone on the board that I can remember. I'm sure I've had fantasies about Savage Clone and Porkie but those don't count right?

Alex's Trip 09.01.2006 11:28 AM

Sure they do...

We all have life long dreams...

porkmarras 09.01.2006 11:28 AM

Share the scenarios Hayden.I really wanna hear about those ones.

HaydenAsche 09.01.2006 11:30 AM

I'm not sure I really remember any. I know I've dreamt about meeting Savage Clone and CHOUT at shows and stuff in the cities.

Alex's Trip 09.01.2006 11:33 AM

I had a dream that I got out of bed and walked up to my moms room and lied down on the bed for a while, then got out and went back to my room. Turns out I actually did just that, and was sleep walking.

k-krack 09.01.2006 11:39 AM

Once i sleep-walked all the way out of my deadbolted door. the deadbolt is at the top of the door. that is high. i am pretty short, and asleep.

**(it isn't like a normal deadbolt where you just twist the knob and it locks, it is a big bar, and then this thing that goes over it like a hook so the door can't open more then a few inches)

Alex's Trip 09.01.2006 11:44 AM

One night (Saturday) I started sleepwalking. It was around 1:00 AM and I started getting ready for school. I got myself a bowl of cereal. My mom came down and woke me up. She said she though we were being robbed.

It was so strange waking up at the table with a bowl of cereal in front of me.

I've also got up and started talking to my mom about something. I kept saying "I have to tell you something but I don't remember what".

Also my dad tells me that I sit up in bed while I'm asleep mumbling and rocking back and forth.

k-krack 09.01.2006 11:49 AM

I sometimes talk or mumble or murmel in my sleep. i have caught myself on a few occasions. It's pretty rare, but happens often enough i suppose... One time i was talking about "coming to get us". '

One time i was sleeping in the same room as a cousin, and i awoke to him yelling "Get down! Keep down! Be quiet!!!" and then i was like "what th hell is wrong!?" not realizing he was asleep. then when i discussed it with him the next morning he tried to first tell me that it didn't happen, and then he changed his story and said he was pulling a prank. he was embarrassed. then he changed his story again and said he was dreaming about a tornado.

!@#$%! 09.01.2006 01:26 PM

funny.

i used to talk in my sleep a lot.

once people heard me say loud and clear: "chloride"

(i was studying chemistry at the time)

HaydenAsche 09.01.2006 03:50 PM

I used to have 'night terrors' I'd wake up at like 5 in the morning and be in the basement with all the lights in the house on shaking and sweating. I wouldn't remember any of what happened but my parents said I used to walk around down stairs or tell them people were in the house. It's kind of scary I guess.

k-krack 09.01.2006 03:53 PM

i once saw a tv special on night terrors and things. i can't recall its correct name, but when you wake up and you are literally frozen with fear, and think there is some kind of bad presence there..
(you can't move)

Alex's Trip 09.01.2006 03:55 PM

Sleep Paralysis?

k-krack 09.01.2006 03:58 PM

possibly. it was eerie, name or no name.

Your uncle is an idiot. Analysing dreams isn't an approach, it's a minor part of therapy. Basically if a patient has a dream that was particularly vivid or seems signiicant to them then they can ask the therapist and it might be able to tell them somthing. Is your uncle actually a trained psychotherapist? It doesn't sound like it. Psychotherapists don't have a certain method they use, it's just psychotherapy which includes loads of different things.

touch me i'm sick 09.01.2006 05:09 PM

i've only slept walk once. but i often talk in my sleep , or wake up with certain articles of clothing half or completely off. i once woke myself up because i was clapping in my sleep

touch me i'm sick 09.01.2006 05:13 PM

GeneticKiss 09.01.2006 09:50 PM

One time I actually spun around in fetal position in my sleep (it was more like half asleep/half awake), like babies have been known to do...

Trasher02 12.16.2006 04:55 AM

Ok I'm not gonna lie about what I've dreamt, this is 100% true! This dream is by far one of the freakiest yet funniest dreams I ever had.

Ok so I was sitting at home when I got a letter from some weird Japanese University/Holocaust/Cult. It was a noise university (strange eh). And they needed to know which noise bands I knew to determine my difficultygrade during the year I was going to spend there. Then I wrote down a few on my paper and sended it to them. Months later I got a letter back which said:"Congratulations, You have rank 9D. The hardest rank in our school."
And then I freaked out and then other weird shit happened.

So yeah that's it.
