Yeah, god am I lazy, I need to finish my homework, but I don't want to.

i'd practice harder for band if my glockenspiel had more octaves and wasn't obnoxious as hell. the higher notes give me a headache when i try to play at the speed we're playing. it is not motivating.

Oh that sucks, so how is band going?

it's going really well. so far our drumline, well, we rock. not incredibly hard but we sound good. band camp and ocs (band officer candidate school) start on the 12th and run all week, then it's back to school. i'm so excited for marching season.

what's your homework?

Picking out a theme, symbols, and characters from A Clockwork Orange and One Flew Over a Cuckoo's Nest. But with a unifying theme, and I chose Work as a theme.

that actually sounds fun. we do so much stuff like that in english.

i haven't read clockwork orange in so long. right now i'm reading the raw shark texts and crime and punishment. you'd like raw shark texts. this guy loses his memory and forgets who he is, and this.. conceptual shark (made of ideas, not flesh) is hunting him. you have to read it.

I finally realized I want to do something with the arts, don't know yet. But something that goes along with that.

i really, really want to be a writer again. i fell out of love with it but now i think it's what i want to do. my aunt's job (corporate interior design management) is sweet and she really wants to take me under her wing but that's not my thing.

or just something heavily related to writing. public relations, maybe.

I am thinking of doing journalism, and work for a art magazine or something pertaining to that sort. You should do it for the summer before you go to college, so you can have experience and could get a job.

yeah, i'm considering deferring admission for a year to get some footing.
but i don't know. i'd love to get a cool job at a pr firm.

Yeah, that is a tough one and you can only make that decision. So where are you thinking of moving for college?

new york. or if by some twist of fate that doesn't work, somewhere in the northeast. maybe berkeley (it's close to family). just a matter of kicking ass this year.

I am thinking of that too, but not sure. I would like to go to New York, but I am happy here. But would like to go, I am still unsure.

Yeah, for me it would be just to meet other people that are not like Californians. They are all laid back, all the time.

people in california were the nicest people, though! even the indie snobs in amoeba were better than the ones here. orlando was actually voted one of the unfriendliest cities in america and despite my love for that city, florida's just full of horrible people.

pratt doesn't :( but columbia does! i know that's not an art school, haha, but i love it like i love my school. art school really isn't my thing. i want to study history or economics in addition to creative writing.

HAHAHA. the school near me is ten minutes away. it is closer than my community college.

damn. our community college has a campus ten minutes away and another one 25. the other schools in daytona are just the aeronautical school and bethune cookman. not for me.

so holy shit. i printed out my big future-dependent essay. i think i did really well.

I'm great, got back from a blonde redhead show about an hour ago. It's been a wild 'n crazy weekend for sure.

Cool, how was that?

It was great. I unfortunately missed I'm From Barcelona, who were opening, because there was a huge line to get in (free show) but BRH played a great set and it was beautiful weather all day. I'm thuroughly satisfied. I think i'm going to go see The Bourne Ultimatum with my dad tomorrow, should be fun.
