Following the theme of 'I met an interesting girl today', I fell into quite a surprising conversation with a girl in my english class today- we agreed that Dan Le Sac VS. Scroobius Pip was the best thing to happen to British music this year.

Danny - what did ya think of the Riot Grrrl cd?, you listened to the sad grrrl one yet?

So far I've listened to all of Sleater Kinney, the Bikini Kill / Babes in Toyland section of Riot Grrrl and about half of Sad Grrrl. I'm drawing up some ideas right now of what to send you in return.

Sleater Kinney no longer remind me of goats. I had no idea why they did in the first place but I enjoyed listening to them. Bikini Kill would be great if Kathleen Hanna didn't have such an ostentatious singing voice. Liz Phair was pleasant.

Joni has always been in my good books.

Liz Phair's songs will grow on you, her chord progression is wonderful.

I'll buy some blank CDs tomorrow and get working on my return gift. Where did you buy your CDRs? The cases are wonderful.

yep. we got the short end of the stick. the announcer talked right over us, then during the first rally (one for upperclassmen, one for lower) the sound system person fucked up and played some rap song over us for half our piece.
