ive never seen gaspar noé but you guys don't like ozon or "von" trier?

I quite like Ozon but I love Von Tier. Their films not their personas (although in the case of Von Trier it's sometimes difficult to separate them). Gaspar Noe seems increasingly like he's a one hit wonder. If you wanna see anything by him just see Irreversible. But be prepared. It's not an easy watch.

the problem is that someone inevitably does respond to gast and even if they dont, he will ruin every thread he shows up in by endlessly ranting and harrassing other users. your post sounds like a bit of a cop out, as if you are too afraid to offend anyone. please just delete the troll! he doesnt make it a pleasant environment for the rest of us to talk in, and his anti gay/woman/semite rhetoric is just not acceptable.

same here w/ ozon & von trier. living outside of europe i don't get to see them on tv/the newspapers/ whatever so i only know them through their work.

noé does not sound like the kind of stuff i like (some kind of torture porn?) but i'll keep him in mind for the sake of literacy.

It's torture porn on the strength of two scenes but it's far too much of a headfuck to really just be thought of like that. It doesn't gross you out so much as leave you feeling sort of empty, depressed. It's a masterpiece but not one to be taken lightly. For me once was enough. Definitely watch it though.

I'm gonna concede in public that yer right here (have already PM'd a member here throwing in the towel on my previous ban-hammering rants). Whilst I <still> take offence at his homophobia - sorry pop kids, that's just the way it is for me - he obviously needs some pretty serious mental health treatment...and I speak as someone who's just crawled out of 2+ years of severe MH stuff myself.

Get over it. Some people might feel the same about your posts (not me, just saying)... Didn't you read the FAQ? DUH. We don't censor here. Just either put them on your ignore list, or bombard their threads with troll posts like the rest of us, but seriously, whether you like gast or not is irrelevant to our little SYG experiment in non-censorship.
