but as i stated, merzbow is more well known because he's mentioned and accepted in more circles or scenes than whitehouse, also, whitehouse haven't been as constant in their career as merzbow.

sure, there's a difference; you just need to listen to different bands or artists to know that. but i think it's futile to try to pinpoint a tangible reason on why someone is better than others. i don't think music is like that.
