I was born on the other side of the tracks, literally. Suburbia is kind of lame, unless you are old and want peace for your children and you.

gmku 12.05.2006 10:32 AM

Well, that's what I had then. A lame suburban life. But it forced me to think for myself because I had to create my own trouble.

Having children would mean that I would have to live with knowing that my desire for procreation had forced yet another hapless individual to go through adolescence, and I couldn't live with that on my conscience.

Fortunately, I have no desire for procreation. That vasectomy helps too.

Don't let Mr Grinch put anybody off.

My girl (nearly 3) can out tantrum any toddler but is a gorgeous girl who I love more than I thought it was possible to love.

My boy is nearly a week old and gorgeous also.

And for anybody considering parenthood, a tip: if you don't like puking babies then breast feed. Babies usually puke so much if fed with the milk of another species.

gmku 12.06.2006 09:34 AM

I'm not saying I don't love my kids more than life, and both are wonderful, beautiful people. I'm just saying most non-parents also don't realize the hell that kids put you through. And speaking from 22 years of experience, I don't use the word hell lightly.

But hey, all you would-be parents--go for it! YOUR turn....

Picture of week old Seth with present from sonicl. Doesn't fit him yet (not much does) but it'll give me chance to make him a fan first.

gmku 12.07.2006 05:25 PM

Sweet. Does your Dirty CD come with the 'dirty' picture on the CD holding side? If so, be sure to show him that when he's old enough to be curious about where this T-shirt originates.

Nice of sonicl too! I love that onesie. Kellian has the shirt...

It's weird but I've started to get a bit sad that Kitty is growing up (she's only 3!) and isn't my little baby anymore. Today she said the sea is blue because of the reflection from the sky. Where did she hear that? And how did she remember it well enough to repeat it?!

So yes, as gorgeous as Kitty is, it's nice to have a baby in the house again.

And it was incredibly kind of sonicl to send the gift. I've never heard 'onesie' before, but I think I'm going to start saying it.
