Not that interested in seeing her really but I am concerned with the general lack of non-interesting stuff which would ideally occur at the same time as interesting things I want to see on other stages. I fear I am going to miss some good stuff because it clashes with something. What if there's a band I really like (eg NNCK) that clashes with a band I quite like and this would be a rare opportunity to see (eg NWW). I fear such things happening.

pantophobia 09.02.2006 02:17 PM

i guess just go with your gut, i mean jenn took a chance on jackie o motherfucker instead of merzbow, and she ended up hating that decision

if those two came up, i would probably take NWW over NNCK a well, but sometimes there are time differences of a half hour when bands start, for the most part I am gonna just walk back and forth most of the time to catch much as possible and stay near the back so won't have to sift thru too large of a crowd

i am just wondering, what three bands will be playing unapposed?

SY and Stooges for sure, whos the third? Gang of Four? MC5?

Moshe 09.06.2006 09:57 AM

Sold out!

Incidentally, still a lack of Japs.

Moshe 09.12.2006 07:35 AM

sonicl is a great man indeed and very generous too. we should have a forum party once we get there.

porkmarras 09.12.2006 07:42 AM

Aw, there's gotta be some spare chalet beds around...

I know a bunch of Iggy people were gonna book themselves twin rooms or doubles because they couldn't find anyone to go with.. I'm sure there's always situations like that at ATP. Spare beds and stuff. It's just a matter of finding them and exploiting them. ;)

guitarpro 09.12.2006 12:36 PM

Bardo Pond is cool I remember seeing them open for SY in 2002.

Moshe 09.12.2006 01:06 PM

News just in, The legendary sonic noise artists The New Blockaders have confirmed and they will be joined by none other than The Haters. The New Blockaders are making very rare appearance and they will be celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. Only 2 more acts to confirm and this event is 100% booked

Moshe 09.12.2006 01:50 PM

she found someone to share a chalet with.

Yeah, I'm sure some people have booked a chalet but haven't necessarily filled it so people who haven't got tickets might be able to find people with spare beds. Not me though I'm afraid.

pokkeherrie 09.12.2006 06:35 PM

exactly. last time i didn't start making plans until it was already long sold out either, but by posting requests on 3-4 internet forums i got two different offers and ended up sharing a chalet with people from 5 different nationalities.

Cantankerous 09.12.2006 06:39 PM

if you're willing to sleep in the same bed as me, come on over. however you risk suffering 1st degree burns.

pokkeherrie 09.12.2006 06:43 PM

you smoke in bed?

at least it may look like bardo pond and jomf may play dublin before. all i need now is a magik markers, sy, double leopards jamfest in ireland!
gah, still gutted im so crap. but i think ive grown accustomed to the fact i aint going!
collective purchase of teeshirts for the absent paulybee guys!!!! :-)

pokkeherrie 09.12.2006 06:52 PM

alright. you put out cigarettes on people's skin?

i'm just guessing here how one would suffer 1st degree burns in your presence... only for paulybee's health though, this time i got myself a ticket well in advance for a change.

edit: nevermind, looks like you scared off paulybee already.

If it's anything like Camber Sands then yes, puff away merrily to your hearts content.

I've never seen anyone at ATP bat an eyelid over that kind of thing. But, then again, I've never been to an ATP event in the West Country before... they might not like it if you're, yknow, "not local"....

shakeyjake 09.14.2006 04:21 AM

apparently now they are playing on the 8th and 9th at ATP two different sets one rather ripped and a classics set maybe?

doubt it.
isnt the whole point of two sets because the hall isnt big enough to hold all the people?
so half the people will go on one night and the other half the second.
it would be shit and unfair if they played different sets. im sure they realise this and they will play almost identical sets each night.
if i got lumbered with a rather ripped set while 3000 other people got a good set, id be well pissed off.

23rd September 2006
COMETS ON FIRE AND SUN CITY GIRLS CONFIRM

Could this line up get any better?
Yes it could. Because Comets On Fire and the legendary Sun City Girls have joined the bill.
Tickets for this event will be mailed out over the next ten days and all tickets are sold out.
