Pink Steam! Didn't get to see them proper on the Rather Ripped tour. Caught the Daydream show at Pitchfork where they encored with Reena and Incinerate. I hope they do Antenna as well.
|
i just need to hear brother james live before i die.
but some random nurse or murray st stuff (RALGS!) would be sweet too instead of only the eternal and daydream |

I need to hear Massage History....
|
I'd love to hear Sugar Kane, Death Valley 69, Mote, Titanium Expose, Mary-Christ
Rain On Tin would be really something, also. I can't wait to check out their setlist of their June 27 show. I'm seeing them on the 30th in Toronto. |
Radical Adults Lick Godhead style, Pink Steam, Rain on Tin, Stones, Peace Attack, Shoot, Youth agaist Facism, Sugar Kane, I love you Golden blue, Starfield Road, Anti-orgasm, Poiso Arrow, Massage the History...........
|
Radicall adults! Forgot about that one. yup.
|
I've seen them more than 10 times and each time they dug out a few classics that were both surprising and awesome (Tom Violence, Burning Spear, Brother James, Shadow Of A Doubt, Cotton Crown, DV69, She Is Not Alone, Sugar Kane, Mote, Inhuman, Catholic Block).
I don't count Schizophrenia, Teenage Riot, Silver Rocket or Expressway that i've seen them play very often but would be very cool anyway. This time in Paris i'd really love to see them play some very old stuff i've never seen them play, like World Looks Red (actually they played it at my first SY show in 95 but i didn't know the song then) ,Shaking Hell or Making the Nature Scene. Or some stuff off Sister : Stereo Sanctity, Tuff Gnarl. I didn't attend the DDN shows so Cross' The Breeze, The Sprawl or the Trilogy would be great also. I will be a little disappointed if there is no surprise in the form of a song that they bring back from the dead. |
also hoping they keep up this trend of playing hey joni
|
Anything new except Calming The Snake.
Dripping Dream Sleepin' Around Total Trash Pink Steam |
you are probably first person who said sleepin' around.

yeah me too. Never seen it and it sounds so good and energetic on the Battery Park LP |
Quote:
yeah i think its funny how alot of the daydream songs have evolved when they play them nowadays but hey joni on the battery park LP sounds exactly the same as when they played it in 89 (on the Live Daydream LP) just a little thing i noticed ahah |
May I please add "Antenna" to my request list -slick

Calming the Snake will sound so fucking good live! Also, I'd poop my pants upon hearing any of these three in particular: Karen Koltrane Winner's Blues I Dreamed I Dream |
Oh Winners blues to open proceedings followed by radiccal adults.....
|
"Calming the Snake" IS good live.
|
i saw them in '95 on the washing machine tour and they played the diamond sea. it was magnificent. i would love to see that again live. i would also love to see kim do brother james and shaking hell again. oooohhhh, and shadow of a doubt, on the strip, and sugar kane!
|

Green Light, Wish Fulfillment, Pipeline/Kill Time, Stereo Sanctity.
|
hells yeah on the wish fulfillment.
|
I wanna hear them play Machine, the new song that was added today on Matador's BEGN website. Actually, not really, the song isn't all that great IMHO. Just wanted to mention that it's available

I´m jealous!!! saw them on the NYC ghost & Flowers though, that was pretty great too.. |
The main problem with The Diamond Sea is how long it is, obviously. I mean you have to really go for that one, if you do it at all. A ten minute version wouldn't work.
|
Songs that I've seen them play that I would die to see again include Cross the Breeze, Schizophrenia, Expressway to Yr Skull, Silver Rocket (last year at River to River was the most fantastic preformance), Shaking Hell, Bull in the Heather, Skip Tracer, Eric's Trip
Songs that I've never seen them play that would kick ass to see include: Mote, Becuz, Kotton Krown, Junkies Promise, Society is a Hole, pretty much off of Experimental Jet Set (esp Starfield Road) you dig? |
Wish Fulfillment
Saucer-Like I Love You Golden Blue Green Light Screaming Skull Doctor's Orders Washing Machine and of course The Diamond Sea |
Burning Spear, Total Trash, Flower, Marilyn Moore, Star Power, and yep, The Diamond Sea.
|
i wonder if Lee or Steve read this thread.

pipeline/kill time
green light shaking hell trilogy, in its entirety the world looks red theresas sound world little trouble girl, with special guest kim deal (i know this ones a long shot, but it would be amazing and a guy can dream cant he...) |
They've been doing Trilogy in its entirety (although sometimes not all in one go; or only doing The Wonder and Hyperstation), and they've been doing The World Looks Red now and again, so you might get lucky there.
