i always thought i hated tom petty, but at bonnarro i realized i did actually like a few of his songs. unfortunately he also played:

CUZ I'M FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIINNNNNNN...

ugh...

Pookie 08.06.2006 05:28 PM

Don't You Want Me - The Human League.

I worked in a factory for 18 months and we had to listen to a local radio station every day and they played this song at least twice a day EVERY day. Although strangely enough I started to really like Shania Twain for the same reason.

krastian 08.06.2006 05:30 PM

Oh and that new country song that is just "Swing batta batta, swing batta batta swing!" over and over. That is pure death.

lol,. nice'

Le'see I'll toss a vote to anything from the shrek soundtracks. Namely, accidentally in love and the smash mouth cover of "im a beliver". These two songs play back to back on a cd at work that also has such head smashers as walking on sunshine, love shack, and perfect day. No not lou reed... hoko. "it's a perfect daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay nothing can get in my way. yadda blah. i drive around with all my friends in my mercedes benz." Goddamnt i hate teenage mall bitch music.

Daddylikes 08.06.2006 05:37 PM

Rats-Sonic Youth

worst song ever.

EricsTrip 08.06.2006 11:55 PM

"Dancing in the Dark" by Bruce Springsteen***
"We Built This City" by Starship (predictable choice, I know)
"Honey Pie" by the Beatles
"Everybody Have Fun Tonight" by Wang Chung***
"Summer of 69" by Bryan Adams***
"Paradise City" by Guns n Roses

***denotes songs that in the past I have been forced to listen to at work over the public address system... EVERY. FUCKING. DAY.

I'm inclined to agree, especially on the first, because it's super. As for the Cure, it doesn't really bother me when people insult them, because I am at the stage where I listen to the Cure but I pretend I don't because they are just so goofy.

porkmarras 08.07.2006 01:22 PM

Shut it Saturnine or i'll review the entire Rolling Stones back catalogue and send the reviews to you via dead pigeon.

Savage Clone 08.07.2006 01:40 PM

"Friday I'm In Love" is a godawful piece of shopping-mall crap. Makes my teeth hurt. The Cure have made some of my favorite music ever, but this one is HORRIBLE.

porkmarras 08.07.2006 01:41 PM

'Pornography' is,for instance,an excellent record.

Savage Clone 08.07.2006 01:44 PM

Pornography is one of the greatest LPs I have ever heard. I bought the Simply Vinyl 180g reissue a few years back, and it was well worth it. I had owned it for many years already, but it sounded SO GOOD in this form.
No other record I have heard sounds like that one.

porkmarras 08.07.2006 01:47 PM

It's one of those records that feels like going to mass when you put it on.A kind of ritual that you treat yourself to every couple of years and look forward like an old friend.

luxinterior 08.07.2006 01:48 PM

It's their best one, as far as I'm concerned. And really, that's not very far, but still.

luxinterior 08.07.2006 02:07 PM

Iain 08.07.2006 04:32 PM

Oh they can. It's the video and their stupid smug faces which seals the deal for me.

Toilet & Bowels 08.08.2006 07:08 AM

Everyneurotic 08.08.2006 10:00 AM

the entire output of u2.

but mostly people who think they are the most genius band in the world.

also a drill to the head:

the shitty beatles - love me do and she loves you.

_slavo_ 08.08.2006 10:44 AM

Boyzone - Love me for a reason

the title speaks for itself

LittlePuppetBoy 08.09.2006 07:45 PM

A lot of the stuff put out by Bon Jovi is pretty damn bland. Have a Nice Day-blandest pop song ever.

What the heck is/are evening vespers? I'd like to think it's something to do with riding around on little Italian scooters at night but it's spelled differently so I don't imagine it is.
