I don't have any tattoo
but there are some symbols I see and make me want to get some done, for example that cross in sister; the sign of the infinit on the DDN album.

I just think that tattoo makers are such losers here...
everytime I watch Miami Ink I want to fly to Miami and get one or two or three or four.

Watching Miami Ink makes me want to never get tattooed again (in a away). It shows how much of a trend it is these days.

I think you're falling victim to a trend when you are doing something BECAUSE it's a trend. If you just want to do it, then who the fuck cares, you know?

I hate to see people getting more/more intense tatoos and piercings to "show up" everyone else. I said I was going to get my bellybutton pierced the other day and someone else said "oh, but it's so cliche". I just think it's sexy, I'm not trying to be original or (dare I say it) fucking "underground".

That's true. But then, why are you doing what you are doing? Are you exposed to say, tattooing, because it is now a trend? Therefore indirectly being apart of that trend even though you're not wanting to be.

I still get tattooed because I want to. The upside to alot of people getting tattooed these days is that it's not so socially unacceptable anymore.

I think they're like anything else; tackiness is purely based in the decision of what and where the thing is. I don't regret mine, but I'm glad I didn't get either of them impulsively. That one on Ms Johanssen is godawful.
