My Chemical Romance...es una mierda.
|
hmmm.... I'd have to say
1. Oasis 2. Shinedown 3. Hinder 4. Say Anything 5. The fucking Jonas Brothers and anything else manufactured by Disney 6. Dave Matthews and any other slow chill shit. i mean i can dig slow music but this idea of "chill" crap that all it is a few chords slopped together, lyrics about the beach or whatever...ugh. just that whole jack johnson/matthew scenes irks me. 7. Morrissey. I sorta like the smiths but i just hate the sound/idea of "Morrissey" for some reason. I could keep this list going on forever if i thought long enough |
1. Greenday
2. Celine Dion:fuckyou: |
A swedish band called Takida. They sound exactly like Nickleback, just even worse, and they're played on the radio everywhere. They have the most stereotypical pop songs ever and they think they can cover it up with some distorted power chords and a singer with a "cool" macho voice. Yeah right.
I have alsp recently began to hate The Killers. Before I haven't really cared one bit about them - then I heard their Shadowplay cover and also that they're going to cover songs by Tom Waits, Iggy Pop and more great artists. Makes me wanna puke. Of course there are worse bands out there (Brokencyde anyone?), but those are some that really annoy me right now. |
Brokencyde are clearly too rubbish to be hateable. I mean, Brokencyde are awesomely terrible. Almost admirably so.

"Vauxhall and I" is mostly a really good Morrissey album, and he has some good singles (most notably, "Suedehead") but yeah, as a whole, Morrissey solo is worthless garbage. The music is almost always terrible, and hearing Morrissey try to sound relevant and interesting over top of some shitty guitar playing is.. embarassing. And I'm not even a Smiths fan, really, besides "Louder than Bombs", but at least they had one of the best guitar players.. well.. ever.. who was also a competent, wonderful arranger in his own right, who would structure songs perfectly and work with Morrissey to make the songs sound right. A lot of the Morrissey solo shit puts him in with music that just doesn't fit in. You've got your "Rockabilly" Morrissey record here, your "hard rock" Morrissey record here, then your "Smiths-lite with orchestral flourishes" here... I've heard enough of them now (thanks to too many acquaintances who are huge Mozheads, not to mention I listened to quite a few myself back in the day before I realized THEY SUCK) to know that he's lousy. |

I prefer Bona Drag, Viva Hate and Kill Uncle rather than anything by The Smiths. Partly cause of the intruments: I like the use of trumpet, violin, keyboards etc. it makes the music "colorful". Unlike The Smiths who sounds grim. |
idk... like im more passive towards the smiths...i mean stuff somes good but mostly its like ill listen to a couple of there songs...and whatever. but with morrissey...its just like... Morrissey? It's just really really egomaniacal in a sense how its just HIM and thats it. and that cover of his new album with the baby? cmon its so pathetic.

For some reason, I find Shinedown more listenable than most "modern rock" bands. Many it's because their singer doesn't sound like an Eddie Vedder or Kurt Cobain ripoff, or because their breakthrough song ("45") was in 6/8, rather than the somewhat overused 4/4 time.... |

![]() Limp Bizkit ..... but based off of a lot of ya'lls hate's (which I find surprising), a lot of ya'll might like them too! |

Limp Bizkit is awesome. 3 Dolla Bill Y'All$ is one of my favorite albums of all time. They've released some awful shit, but they're actually entertaining.. they have a sense of humor. And some of the riffs are actually awesome (see: all of 3 Dolla... the verse guitar part in "My Way"... etc.). Great band.

LOL... ya I'd probably try to punish him...but due to the shit he'd be listening to he'd be a lot more morose and miserable than i could make him. |

Limp's bassist is fucking badass.
They're surprisingly talented musicians. |

 There's tons of rapping on 3DBY. I have a soft spot for Bizkit. After Weird Al Yankovic, they were the first band/artist that I had an obsession with, and made me feel like a complete rebel with my Parental Advisory cd's. Most of their material is completely dreadful. But 3DBY is an extremely unique album, and is far heavier, and more interesting than anything the band has released since. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8niSKcRCpeU |
Tons of screaming, too, to balance it out.
|
The first 2 Limp Bizkit albums were actually good. Besides, Wes' guitar playing was really really weird. Which makes their mass meathead popularity rather interesting.
|
ps, I don't think I can honestly say that I hate any band. Hate is a strong word.
|
Currently it's Electric Wizard, because they haven't announced any Dutch shows yet for their upcoming euro tour. I fear they've forgotten about me.

Don't like limp but Wes is far from a averge bassist Quote:

Wes is not a bassist. He was their guitar player. His other band was Big Dumb Face. |
Quote:
|
He was also in Black Light Burns, who weren't too bad.
Big Dumb Face was kind of a weird Ween/Frogs joke-rock group that actually had some awesome stuff. |

That was in September 2008... I was there. I also saw them last May at ATP, but I haven't had enough yet.... need more more moooore. I'd probably even have gone to the Belgian show (in fucking Aarschot of all places!??) if I didn't have some annoying family obligations that day... oh well, there's always the chance of Roadburn I suppose. |
I missed my bloody valentine in eindhoven throught a family party.
Lucky they anouced pukkelpop after that otherwise I would killed myself. |
down with family parties!
|
Yeah!
|
Yeah Big Dumb Face was very Death Metal Ween sounding.
|
Limp Bizkit are pretty much ruined by Fred Durst. Wes Borland is one of the few guitarists in modern heavy music who tries to stand out from the crowd, and DJ Lethal...he was in fuckin' House of Pain! Sam Rivers' bass line on Rearranged is pretty much the reason I still like that song to this day (whereas all the others [with the on/off exception of Nookie] I used to like now make me roll my eyes in contempt). Don't know the drummer's name. He's no Dave Lombardo, Danny Carey, or even Steve Shelley, but he works for that style of music.
I heard some time back that Wes is working with Manson right now...that should be interesting... |
Yeah, that "Rearranged" bassline is great.
|
Manson is a joke. He hasn't been relevant since 1997 and even then the only people he was relevant to was fatass jr high goths and terrified republican parents.
|
Korn, Limp Biskit and Guns N Roses are pretty tied. Well, even I admit GNR isn't as bad as Limp. But still, the way they butchered that Dylan song was pretty :/

Who gives a shit? Songwriting is the most important thing. And they can't write worth shit. Also, who cares if 3DBY has less rapping? There's nothing inherently wrong with rapping. I mean, frankly, the rapping is the least of that band's problems. |
I give a shit. Their music is interesting. There's a lot more going on that one-finger riffs on guitars tuned to mud-sharp. That's in there too, but they're actually surprisingly creative.
KoRn are awesome. I really enjoy just about everything they've done, parts of it at least... though obviously the first two albums are the best. G'N'R.. yeah. Appetite was amazing, everything else has been pretty hit or miss. The new one had like 2 great songs on it. |
