I was spinning techno before it even had the name.

maybe "too old" isn't the best excuse for Big Gay Rob.

Glice 11.03.2009 02:14 PM

Get a few mixes from rinse.fm. Pinch, Appleblim, Joker, Peverelist, Skream, Benga, N-type: all good names, but I'm more into the fact that there's so fucking much of it out there.

I'm not sure if everything is derivative of techno - but that's a much duller discussion to be had some other time.

Rob would have a field day if he went to a southern cali rave. Look at this girl in a bikini suit in cold weather.

I have been reading the brits posts for almost a decade now and I still do not know what the difference is between whinging and whining, if there is any.

Didn't New Order do the same? Their music is more danceable. Just look at blue monday.

static-harmony 11.03.2009 02:28 PM

I was pissed that my friend didn't feel like paying an extra $20 bucks to go to that event.

Rob Instigator 11.03.2009 02:30 PM

I'd be pissed if someone paid me $20 to go to that event.

static-harmony 11.03.2009 02:31 PM

HAHA! Hey it's easier to touch drugged out people.

Rob Instigator 11.03.2009 02:38 PM

I take back my statement!

static-harmony 11.03.2009 02:41 PM

No takesy backsies.

Rob Instigator 11.03.2009 02:47 PM

no touchy backsides?

static-harmony 11.03.2009 02:49 PM

Only if they are rolling ballz.

Rob Instigator 11.03.2009 02:50 PM

this year Halloween fell on a weekend....

static-harmony 11.03.2009 02:51 PM

Yeah, but I have new years, more semi-naked people.

static-harmony 11.03.2009 02:52 PM

You could do these tricks.

The difference, in England at least, is that whining tends to imply a certain tone of voice; 'whine' tends to apply to the sound of whinging. By 'whinging' most Brits understand the same thing as Yanks do for 'whining', except whinging is the act of 'whining' without the accompanying tone of voice.

Whinging, if you appreciate the difference, is more of a criticism levelled at adults when they're complaining about something they perceive as important which is, in fact, not important; whining is something that children do when they can't have sugar-coated things.

also "arse" sounds like a total d-bag thing to say.

Glice 11.03.2009 04:10 PM

That's fucking ridiculous when you've just said 'd-bag'. Not even 'douche', but 'd'. If you're not using the language, we'll have it back you ungrateful shits.

Rob Instigator 11.03.2009 04:30 PM

and spreading it round the globe wherever the ol Brit empire did not touch.

Thanks for the definition glice! I now can be butthurt for 7 years of back whinging. ;)

i think house started around the same time as techno so i don't think you could call it derivative. you could say that they're both derivative of kraftwerk though probably.

If it was a Nintendo CEO, it would've been funnier.

pbradley 11.03.2009 07:28 PM

It would've been even funnier if violence in video games was still a major issue.

I'm sure you'd still be a humourless shit in either case.

Glice 11.03.2009 07:31 PM

Sorry, I just fancied typing that, there's no serious content to it.

Toilet & Bowels 11.03.2009 07:32 PM

that leads to a good question though, what makes pbradley laugh out loud?

Glice 11.03.2009 07:37 PM

I reckon Bradders is like a German. You know, you think they're all serious but they actually just find humiliating videos of people pissing off of buildings onto unsuspecting bystanders hi-lar-i-ous.

floatingslowly 11.03.2009 07:38 PM

stuffed kittens?

pbradley 11.03.2009 07:43 PM

Really? That video game joke is that precious? All I said, really, is that it's a bit dated because it is.
