bell peppers topped with peanut butter is delicious. you have to try it. FLORIDA!?! josh! come to florida! teriblykranz and i are partying it up new years. |
If everyone's spring breaks from school line up somewhat, Florida will be the easiest option and most fun. We'd take like 2 or 3 cars and just paint the whole state red.

you got our numbers, give a holler if you pass through daytona. oh man. where abouts in south florida? have fun, victor :) |
Nova Southern, near Ft. Lauderdale. If we end up seeing Lily there, we'll probably hit Miami too. It's hard to tell, but all this is really up in the air right now with 4 (2 couples) in our group with newborns and us going to 5 or so different schools. I just know I HAVE to do something for spring break and I'm not doing it alone.
|
oh yeah, nova. i really hope it works out, that'd be wicked.
my spring break is either going to be here or in utah. |
Totally. I thinking about saving NYC for summer. I get airline tickets fairly cheap. I'd got apeshit hitting the town for a week or two during peak show season.
|
a while ago there was a plan involving me and canyons to hit nyc, but that was shot down by parents wanting me around for christmas. ah. i know the plan is to be in utah all summer, but depending on what happens in the next few months i might be doing something entirely different (although i can't NOT go to utah, i want to see my nephew due in april) most likely chilling in miami, but maybe a venture to nyc.

I've pretty much fit those trips into my "6 month plan" that also includes getting a job and finding an apartment. If I could convince one or two people to chip in a us get a house, it'd be aces. even better with 3. 4 people can get a fairly sizeable house for like $120-150 a month, all in. I'm just hoping I can find a decent non-food job while the economy is shitting in the bathwater. (that analogy doesn't totally work...not sure where I picked it up)
|
my six month plan involves hopefully getting a book deal and seeing what's going on with school. and introducing someone into my family and vice versa.
i hope that house plan works out, because $120 just working a small job sounds like an ace plan. i need a job but i refuse to wear polyester and ask if someone wants fries with that. gah. shitting in the bathwater.. i'm using that. |
There's like a 1,000 book/music stores around that stay open until like 10 or 11, so a job shouldn't be too hard to find, plus I'll get to be an elitist snob to those that make crummy choices. which is lame but still kind of win.
The house/apartment is the tricky bit, because I don't want to have to commute by car every day, so my area of searching is limited to a very small area and the housing is notoriously tough to get and it's very high crime area. funfun |
i'd love work in a book store only because i want to be asked for recommendations and just send people to the erotica section

I'd send them to occult section. Too bad the antiquarian bookstore with tons of old books is pretty much family/friend run.

oh, of course. i'll study their face then an arbitrarily chosen body part, then use that line. now i want to go to barnes and noble. i haven't been there in two weeks and i'm going a little crazy. |
i'm not sure i want to sleep or if i want to play wii fit.
hm. i'm not doing anything tomorrow. |
I was just there, with a $30 gift card. Then I realized I still have like 30 books I haven't read. So I didn't get anything. Was still relaxing.
|
I haven't read a damn word since December 10th. I need to change that tomorrow night.
|
I read about 30 pages of Ulysses since about then, and that's it. I still have about 70 to go, and it may be the longest stretch of the book.
EDIT: I just used 30 three times in two posts. |
Oh shit, those last 70 or so pages with the wife's dialogue or what the fuck ever are brutal. I stopped right before that the first week of May and didn't pick it up again until August. It took me like 4 days to read that last part. Page full of text and no convenient stopping places, forced to read whole pages at a time.
