whatever birdbrain.

where is your album and songs if you are so "professional" and "upscale"?
where is your music if you are soo "good"...

I'm recording it as we speak!
Just give me a break, just because I don't like the song what's that got to do with my music?

RanaldoNecro 03.29.2011 02:02 AM

it is very subdued.

Ghostchase 03.29.2011 05:34 PM

I'm keeping my high hopes for this, a Beck-produced album just has to be good in my books.

It'll be done, I'm sure. I keep forgetting that he mentioned a while back something about a singer/songwriter style album. Don't follow the Youth (related projects included) quite as much as I used to.

His noisy stuff is great too, though.

Broken Circle/Spiral Hill
Amarillo Ramp
Dirty Windows

Everything, really. I've never been disapointed with any of his stuff, even when (sometimes...) his poetry can get a bit lousy.

I can see psychic hearts being that way of which you speak.

but Trees Outside the Academy?

seriously?

I mean, some of the instrumentals are fairly predictable...and can get a bit boring, but Silver>blue, Frozen Guitar, The Shape is in a trance. Those songs kick hella butt

EVOLghost 03.29.2011 07:32 PM

however, song is kind of weak.

EVOLghost 03.29.2011 07:33 PM

and to be honest.
I think I'm a little scared if beck is producing it. There's a lot of beck I do like, and there's also a lot ofbeck I don't like.

I like both Psychic hearts and Trees a lot. Maybe 12 string meditations is not fully as good as those two, but itīs also quite great (to me it seems very rare have listened carefully that 12 string album, itīs not noise but certainly not a "pop"-album)! Of course I think Thurstonīs solos are not as great as SY-albums, but still they are much better than 90 % of nineties and 2000-decade music!

You dudes should show more respect to the almighty Psychic Hearts. Excuse me but this album is a very uinderrated gem and the best possible companion to Washing Machine.

EVOLghost 03.30.2011 10:59 AM

I like psychic hearts quite a bit. But Trees Outside the Academy is totally killer.

mil_pl 03.30.2011 11:35 AM

^ Ditto. Though I hope DT will beat both.
