Labradford fans should check out Bobby (Robert) Donne's group Cristal.
The put out a self-titled record on All is Number a year or two ago. Quite good, if you're into straight up noise. I think there's also a 3" CD split with Spokane. |

For real? I saw them open for Hypocracy and Nile and I thought they were total shit. Sloppy and boring. Not my thing. |

Good call on all of them apart from Mclusky and Tall Firs. I've tried listening to Mclusky several times because I had a feeling that I might really like them, but they simply don't cut it. Galaxie 500: totally underrated. Broadcast are a really underrated band and it's been a while since they surpassed their mentors Stereolab (that used to be an ace band and put out Broadcast's early singles). |
And, yes, Pan American and Labradford are both underrated. To Rococo Rot are underrated. Schneider Tm is underrated.

Do I smell a contradiction here? |
Sloan--they're just too talented and intelligent for this musical era. Good songwriting has been replaced with whorish ass-shaking.

I dont listen to Mclusky much these days, i think when they split up i kinda left them there in my teenage years. But at the time they were really really great - Especially Mclusky Do Dallas. |
