Pfft.
And that ''Primitive Cool'' album is even worse than that one. Yes, I have listened to it. |
Who in their right mind would even consider listening to a Jagger solo album?
|
i'm besides myself for the fact that space fucking ritual is on the top 20.
seriously, i didn't expected it. and well, this thread is no fun at all "it should have been blah and blah at number one", shut the fuck up. |

yeah, but if I look at the amount of points then it probably only took two people to get it voted into the top 20... I'd only be surprised if there were actually 10 people who voted for it. On another note, I always wonder how much these kind of lists are influenced by current events... I mean stuff like Daydream Nation and Velvet Underground seem to be pretty standard choices on this board, but I suspect Loveless wouldn't be at no. 2 if it weren't for the whole MBV reunion currently going on... I'm sure if you did this thing last winter then Joy Division would've easily made it into the top 20 because of the Control movie... probably even top 10. Same with whatever reunion happened to be going on at a certain time during the last few years that resulted in dozens of threads about said band. (2004-Pixies, 2005-Dinosaur Jr.... and the inevitable 200?-Pavement, etc) |
so, recount and not do an eurovision-like rating system?
|
ew, boring #1
great idea and thread though |
Any honorable mentions that barely didn't make the cut?

demonrail - did anyone vote for Here Come The Warm Jets? That's the one I was kicking myself for not including.
|
i didn't think most people would take it that seriously.
|
Jeff Buckley - Sketches For My Sweetheart the Drunk
David Bowie - Low Nine Inch Nails - Downward Spiral Bright Eyes - Lifted Radiohead - OK Computer --- I'm pretty sure that would have been my vote, or something like it. That's why I didn't. |
Quote:
Yes, loads. Your missed vote meant that it never quite made the hallowed twenty! |
Radiohead are one of the most boring bands I've ever heard, except Kid A. I appreciate them and respect what they do to an extent, but I just can't get into anything they do anymore.

keith richards called it "dogshit in the doorway"...i wouldn't even give it that good of a review. |
pretty cool list, nice to see The Birthday Party in there as well.
I have no problem with Loveless being there either, I don't see any real "flaws" with the album, even now. |
Great Job Demonslayer3000
