There was a cool "experiment" that I read before about a famous violin virtuoso busking and having the whole thing filmed to see if more people would stop to notice.
Wasn't the article posted here? I don't remember if any passerbys cared or not. |
they kicked him in the ass coz he couldn't pull off Toxic's riff.

I remember the article. They did it in NYC and London, if memory serves. And s/he made something like £100 in a couple of hours, and the article tried to make out that this was a paltry amount for a virtuosi violinist. When it is, of course, masses for a busker.

I walked past a dude on the street playing some mean tunes on his electric guitar last week. He chose a pretty bad time to busk though. Sunday evenings in the centre of my town is usually devoid of life.

Joshua Bell did this .
Here is the article from the washington post http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...040401721.html so many people walk by not noticing. people get blinders on when they are on their way to work. AWESOME little experiment. Buskers make everything better. There are three that are always out for baseball games in downtown houston, one on sax, one on guitar and one on trumpet. I dig it all. even if they suck. I would much rather hear street musicians than look at idiots in silver paint doing the robot. |
Josh Bell! That was it. Everyone I know who's met him (which is quite a few) says he's a total bellend. That's probably why people ignored him.
|
bellend??

Maybe it was because he was playing decent music rather than Oasis covers. |
