i guess not...in the dream, it was after one of her shows & we were like friends or something...she wanted to hear some songs of mine

about a month ago, one of my friends made a bunch of spicy chicken for dinner.
we ate and took a night walk, and that night i was really tired and went to sleep very thirsty and having had nothing to drink.
So i fell asleep and i dreamt that i was getting ready for the day, and i after i took a shower i went to my fridge and drank like 10 glasses of water.
connection...spicy chicken...dreaming about drinking...i think so.

I had a fucking bad dream this night

I dreamt I went to a party with my ex-girlfriend and the party was full of my present colleagues at work. And all of them were really evil and mean and always when we got to some room to hang out, all of the people suddenly left. So we ended up sitting in a couch in a white room and my ex just told me: "See and this is what you get for being such a bitch".

and then I woke up sweating.

i dreamt that i was being tortured in a chair by having electric currents passing through my body. it was so awful. it happened over ten years ago and i remember it well to this day.

my recent dreams have involved my body breaking down in some way.

I had a dream last night about my stepdad filling out a prescription sheet for drugs that enhance his sexual performance. I should cut down on the drinking.

Dreams definitely do have meanings but the stuff they say in any of those dream books is complete crap. Dreams can tell you stuff about yourself, psychotherapists analyse dreams of patients as part of their jobs but the only way they can make any kind of analysis is if they actually talk to the person because they need to find out associations the person has with things in the dream. Those dream books just say that certain things always represent somthing in particular but that isn't true, what things represent in people's dreams is to do with their own associations, you can't generalise it. And you definitely can't predict the future from your dreams, thats just stupid superstition.

Who said that dreams are generated by something that we say during the day but we don't pay much attention to and resurfaces in our dreams while we sleep?

wikithread 09.01.2006 10:01 AM

they're mostly a gathering of thoughts that have occured during the past little while. sometimes when you're in a deep sleep it accesses your long term memory.

Lurker 09.01.2006 10:03 AM

Dreams represent our subconscious.

wikithread 09.01.2006 10:05 AM

Yeah! I'm using wikithread!

porkmarras 09.01.2006 10:08 AM

Oh,silly me!I should have asked wikithread.

Inhuman 09.01.2006 10:08 AM

I'm reading a book on consciousness now actually. Keep in mind you can still express what is called "Qualia" when you're dreaming. Qualia are the subjective interpretations you cannot describe the intensity of to other people, such as what sounds you are hearing, the amount of love, how red that tablecloth is, etc...

You are in fact mentally conscious when dreaming :)

my uncle practices various therapy techniques and he told me that analyzing dreams is one of the least affective ways of getting to the route of a problem or finding out what a person is thinking. he says it's mainly in the therapists own interest to take this approach as it is a very slow process and is more to the benefit of the therapist (more sessions = more money) than the patient.

I had an odd dream about Cantankerous last night which was rather odd and also quite worrying.

Not only psychologists, but now scientists aver that to be exactly the case.

I had a dream with Hayden in it. We were just talking while driving on the freeway. There was something before Hayden showed up, but I don't remember it.

HaydenAsche 09.01.2006 11:26 AM

Sweet. I feel loved. I've dreamed about the board but never anyone on the board that I can remember. I'm sure I've had fantasies about Savage Clone and Porkie but those don't count right?

Alex's Trip 09.01.2006 11:28 AM

Sure they do...

We all have life long dreams...

porkmarras 09.01.2006 11:28 AM

Share the scenarios Hayden.I really wanna hear about those ones.
