Hey Pookie

Apologies to the recipient of my tape. I visited the four corners of my record collection and it contains the kind of music rarely if ever discussed on the board. A risk for whoever gets it, but hey, you might even like it.

Howdy fn.

Hip Priest 11.22.2006 03:32 PM

Looking forward to recieving a tape.

Thanks.

Danny Himself 11.22.2006 03:33 PM

Oh damn, I may get confused if I recieve my round 3 and 4 tapes thinking they're the round 5 tapes I'm supposed to manage..

Hip Priest 11.22.2006 03:36 PM

You should be able to distinguish the tapes you're distributing, because there'll be some money in them, and they'll be from all corners of the globe.

I'm writing Mix Tape 3 or Mix Tape 4 on the back of the envelopes to prevent confusion.

Danny Himself 11.22.2006 06:27 PM

Ah, good.

And I had forgotten about the sweet sweet money, Hip Priest... :]

Hip Priest 12.11.2006 01:58 PM

As I recieved Joel's round 3 tape last week (thanks mate!) , I assume that the package I found in my porch today to my round 4 tape.

I don't know who it is from, and there's no tracklist to help me deduce pre-listen, but thank you anyway. I will listen a little later.

finding nobody 12.11.2006 02:31 PM

Wow, that's odd. I wasn't sure if anyone was going to ever get that. Neat!

I received my tape two days ago.
Off the top of my head I'm going to guess this is the creation of Mr. Hip Priest. I will also hazard a guess that he has mine, as the one I made is nameless and tracklistless.

................................................

The tape has a sort of religious theme to it with artwork to match. Very creative. It's not the sort of thing I listen to at all, but I guess that's the whole point of trading mixtapes. At any rate I enjoyed listening to it.

Some highlights
The Sermon - dirty fuzzed out rock n' roll. They sound alot like the band I played in in high school.

Claire College Choir - I looooove me some good choral music.

Napalm Death - My older brother was way into bands like Napalm Death when I was about 10 years old, which in turn probably made me one of the youngest Napalm Death fans around. It's probably been over a decade since I last heard them, but I really like this band. I think I'll to dig out his old CDs next time I go home.

Beastie Boys - Bodhisattva Vow: I wasn't expecting to like this, but it actually turned out to be one of my favorites. Really weird droney sampling. Excellent.

In a nutshell, I enjoyed it. Thanks.

I've done a copy of round 3's tape for you again because it was one of the ones I sent but never arrived.

I'll send it this week.

I'm glad you got a tape anyway!

Why do you have to emphasise all the negatives man? Love is the answer, not hate.
