Storm in a fucking teacup as stage managed by Nazi-sympathising Mail Group cunts and the thousands of brainless cretins who need telling how and what they should think/be offended by.
Funny thing is, Brand will come out of this laughing, having further enhanced his dangerous/bad boy schtik and get offered a hefty new deal by Channel 4 or fuck off to LA and play ever-more tiring versions of himself in films for a few years, while Ross has managed to torpedo his career. Not that I'm complaining about that, the cunt. And yeah, she'd get it. If she asked nicely. |
I see that J Ross has been suspended for 12 weeks without pay, but not given the sack.
The whole thing is a total bullshit-fest from start to finish. A rather irritating the prank, but the punishment is way disproportionate to the "crime". |
I think the problem for the BBC is that they're a publicly funded organisation that constantly has to justify the TV license. If they were a private company they'd be OK, able to say 'fine, don't watch us'. They don't have that luxury, so when 20,000 people complain they have to respond in fear of otherwise being seen as elitist and arrogant. Personally I support the license fee (largely for its funding of BBC news coverage - and anything involving Bill Oddie) but don't like the fact that a significant chunk of it is spent on the likes of Brand and Ross. Although I have an even bigger problem coming to terms with the huge sum the BBC spend on securing the rights to show the national lottery.

Jonathan Ross has an £18 million yearly salary, no one needs that much money... especially someone like him.
I like the guy though. |
Twat Ross is off our screens and radio for the rest of the year.
Yay! |
And the moral of the story is, ya don't mess with Manuel.
