A railway viaduct:

I may have posted it before. I can't remember.

And, a Slender-Billed White-Tailed Black Cockatoo:

Shame about the flash in the eye. I will learn to manipulate these things - does anyone know of a suitable program/application?

Two different trees about a mile apart...off the forest road about 30 feet...and over 50 year old carvings !! I couldn't believe how well the writing is preserved. These are on the north side of 39 mile mountain in Park County.

against_the_grain 07.07.2006 09:57 AM

My favorite beach off the Rhode Island coast, Mohegan Bluffs Beach, Block Island. Bermuda of the north...many people don't realize the east coast can look like this !!! Last summer, while I spent 4 months in Newport...

ouch, the "gayness" (no offence intended) of the pic with your friends is balanced by the sexyness of pj...

gayness?:D i think they rather look like wanna-be playboy paters

gmku 07.07.2006 03:52 PM

Who's this pj? and why is she tormenting us with her hot bare-shoulder picture?

Savage Clone 07.07.2006 03:56 PM

You don't know PJ Harvey?
I don't usually go for tiny thin women, but I have always thought she was insanely beautiful.

Some photos from recent cycling expeditions I have taken with all my new free time. All these places are within 10-20 miles of our place.

Some decent graffiti:

A house I love, right on the bike path. I would totally live here if I had a ton of money.

Cedar Lake:

Different ride...
Convergence of Minnesota and Mississippi rivers:

Trail in Fort Snelling State Park:

Awesome tree in same park:

Three separate and quite large tree vaginas on Pike Island, Fort Snelling State Park:

Minnehaha Falls:

nomadicfollower 07.07.2006 04:47 PM

Love those mountain picks against the grain.
That's a pretty awesome waterfall Savage Clone.
I've tried camping in a cave behind a waterfall similar to that (smaller, I'm sure). Worst time I've ever camped. I'll be damned if I slept at all.

against_the_grain 07.08.2006 01:01 PM

My local swimming hole. The water never gets above 60 degrees.....and the nearby S. Platte river in 11-mile canyon.....

gmku 07.13.2006 12:24 PM

Maybe it's just me, but Savage Clone and against-the-grain, I'm seeing all kinds of sexual connotations in your landscape/tree photos, like vaginas and stuff. Landscapes often do that to me, though.

gmku 07.13.2006 12:25 PM

ploesj, who's the band?

gmku 07.17.2006 08:44 AM

The Beasties.

The back two are mine. Guy in the foreground is my daughter's, just visiting.
