night rob. what's your gym project? tomorrow i have to work on my cruddy beam routine.

My gym project is a 3-day cycling trip, and we have group projects. What I have to do is make a brochure on common bike repairs, so I'll probably stay on here for the time being! What does the beam routine consist of?

i have this really awkward turn i have to do, called a swing turn. i kick up my leg to full horizontal, kick back fully, then i'm turning at the same time. my dismount is a cartwheel-to-handstand, and all ten times i've tried i either dismount too far from the end of the beam or land on the hard part of the floor. it sucks.

holy man, that seems very difficult. Have you completed any similar turns to it? It's amazing how intense things can get if you practice. I hope for the best for you with that! I can barely use a skipping rope!

yeah, i've done a few like it over the course of moving up levels. the problem with it is i do get too intense and swivel off the beam. and thank you :) i've gotten the rest of it down, but the dismount and that jump knock my flow.

part of my warmup is three minutes of jump rope and i'm horrible at it.

haha, very. i have to restart and restart.

i went to a mostly black elementary school and some of the girls at recess were freaks with jump ropes. they'd have three ropes (big long ones.. that's what she said..) and five girls jumping. i have NO idea how they did that.

What the fuck?! Why didn't you go learn?
