Let's hope tomorrow is better for you. But, hey, today could have been much much worse:
Workers rescued from tank of dense fish poo Rescuers cut through a filtration tank of dense fish feces to reach four workers who fell into the sludgy dung Friday while cleaning the 18-foot tank at a western Massachusetts farm. The workers became trapped for 45 minutes after a bracket holding a plastic filtration pad collapsed as workers stood on it to clean the fiberglass tank at the Australis Aquaculture fish farm, said Turners Falls Fire Capt. David Dion and the fish farm's manager, Josh Goldman. One of the farmhands was submerged in what Dion described as a sand-and-feces mix, while the other three had their heads above the sludge, he said. Dion said rescue workers cut a hole in the side of the tank at the farm, which raises barramundi, a fish farmed as a replacement for grouper. "It was very slimy and it was heavy," he said. "Never seen anything like it in my life." One worker who fell under the feces was airlifted to Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, but was talking with paramedics and did not appear to have life-threatening injuries, Dion said. The other three were taken by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries. |

sebastian- ick! |
I love pavement and making birthday cards simultaneously. Life is good on a tuesday apparently.
there's something about tuesdays and thursdays i love.
i love making birthday cards. what pavement track? |
Embassy Row, of course!
score! i love brighten the corners. particularly transport is arranged and date with ikea.
Brighten the Corners was the first album that made me realize how awesome pavement are. I was really stoned driving around a lake but that's besides the point.
i first listened to it lying around my aunt and uncle's house overlooking the hills in san jose. it was awesome. but it took me a really long repeat play night of slanted + enchanted for it to hit me.
I love thinking about all those first listens that really hooked you on a band. There's too many to count...
I've been listening to a ton of Pavement lately. One of my favourite bands, OFFICIALLY NOW! My first album was S+E... I bought it, and Jamie bought CR,CR (same day, same place! At CD+ in North Bay! WOO!). Instantly that album made me like, "WHat the fuck!? Where have you been all my life?!" Turns out they had been on mix-cds I'd made...
SM's "Church On White" was one of my favourite songs for years before even knowing about Pavement! I can't stay ...ugggghhh... but the FIRE IS TOMORROW!!!:D:D:D |
