EP7 by Autechre, though I bought it a while ago, it arrived yesterday.
Last album I physically bought would have been Future Sound of London's Lifeforms

I also bought an album online by a Polish electronica act called Elektrobrak which is really good!

I love this album. It has a weird naivety to it.

Beck - Modern Guilt
Zappa - Cheap Thrills; Son of Cheep Thrills

pop punk will eat itself 07.11.2008 12:55 AM

Destroyer - Your Blues

Silver Jews - The Natural Bridge

acousticrock87 07.11.2008 04:27 AM

Best cover I've seen in a while. But I seriously thought it was in the wrong section until I picked it up. Never seen it before.

From today's trip to the record store:

xxlouiisxx 07.11.2008 04:27 PM

I bought Music and Ray Of Light of Madonna yesterday amazing records !

viewtiful_alan 07.11.2008 04:30 PM

I guess if you can get over Madonna herself the music isn't bad at all.
Its so obvious the way those albums are produced that she cant sing at all though.

acousticrock87 07.12.2008 03:44 AM

I feel the opposite. If I can get over the music, her image isn't that bad. In an entertaining way; not in a I'd-actually-go-anywhere-near-her way.

viewtiful_alan 07.12.2008 12:46 PM

Her controversial image is cool.
I'm talking about her being a shitty person...

blunderbuss 07.14.2008 03:39 AM

After two years of searching, I've found a copy of:

Mere words cannot express my excitement, nor my terror that it will get lost in the post on the way to me.

acousticrock87 07.14.2008 03:48 AM

That looks awesome.

I bought Dennis Wilson's "Pacific Ocean Blue" this lunchtime, after a recommendation from demonrail. It's had loads of rave reviews over here:

Onani Nic 07.14.2008 09:19 AM

Dicks - 1980-1986 CD
JFA - We Know You Suck CD
King Khan and The Shrines - The Supreme Genius of... LP
Incapatiants - Burning orange CD
Rahdunes - forget the name but it's really great CD
Men's Recovery Project 7" (I also forget the name)

noisereductions 07.14.2008 10:02 AM

greedrex... that Fleet Foxes reminds me a lot of C,S,N & Y... it's okay. I don't think it's quite worth its hype.

viewtiful... how's the new Melvins? I tried to get it last week, but wasn't in stock yet.

TO greedrex: Basically what noisereductions said. I liked a bit more than they seemed to, but its deffinitley Harmony Oriented, very pretty music.

And as for the new melvins, its good stuff. If you liked A senile Animal than you'll like this one. If you didn't, than this won't win you over on the new line up.
THe zeppliny first track is deffinitley a highlight.
WOrth picking up when you find it.

noisereductions 07.14.2008 02:31 PM

Love the Melvins. Have for years, so I'm looking forward to this. A Senile Animals wasn't my favorite, but it certainly dissapoint.

Recently picked up:

Beck - Modern Guilt
The Getto Boys - Best Of

For a class. Had to pick one symphony/orchestra-type thing, and I've never listened to him. "Schubert bust my brain to start with."

mmm the williamsless new don cab is bizarrely still quite good imo
battles are good, check out some live videos. What they do is extremely difficult to pull out. No samples to start with. It's all live. respect.

Alright i'll have to give battles another chance the main thing that annoys me about them is the vocal samples. A live video should give me a diffent perspective to them.

greedrex 07.14.2008 05:51 PM

yep
we all agree don cab was far superior to battles anyway but still.....
