Strangers On A Train: 1951 And SOAT was based on a book I think. |
Quote:
its a really great movie. top 5 hitchcock. i need to see more of his films. i realized yesterday that he and woody llen are the directors that i have seen the most films of. each clock in over 10 movies. after them i think is jarmusch with 9 (ive seen all of them so i think its nine) fellini and herzog are getting up there |
Quote:
and yes it is. i like strangers on a train better than SOAD i think |
Sorry. I'm not a true SY fan if I hear Shadow Of A Doubt and think of Hitchcock over SY!
|

but yes, soat is a great great movie. |

I still have to check out those "similar" movies you suggested a while ago, I'm afraid I'll have to dl them (oh, crime!) coz it's unlikely I'll be able to find non subbed versions for rent... |

The Ron Clark Story - 6/10
Doomsday - 6/10 I actually felt the same way about both of them. They were full of plot holes and random unnecessary stuff, but they both had decent acting and overall I enjoyed them for no good reason. |
![]() such a good movie.. one of my faves. tom cruise in his best role ever. music amazing. 9,8/10 |

My best friend's dad, not the brightest guy in the world, went and saw Pineapple Express for some reason. He though there were so many swear words that he emailed the theater to try to get his money back. They said no.
|
Hahaha. Awesome. He could have left before it was half over and gotten it back.
|
Well, again, he isn't the brightest guy, like I said. He thought the moon wasn't actually real. Just like...some kind of reflection? I really don't know what goes through his head.

la strada

I m not there
liked it pretty much even there are some nasty mistaks in it when it comes to the chronological choice of songs... |

Swing Vote. Eh. It was funny until I got too sober.
There were some great scenes though. The abortion commercial was almost worth the entire movie. |
boxing helena - 4/10
Gets 2 points for naked Sherilynn Fenn. |
DIG!
|
^^^ Is "DIG!" worth checking out? I know relatively little about Brian Jonestown Massacre, but their story from what I know is fascinating.
|
|
Ah nice one - thanks loads for that. Will watch later when I'm less ill and fucked up :)
|
![]() lucifer rising - 8/10 ![]() natural born killers - 9/10 ![]() truth or dare: a critical madness - 5/10 ![]() above the law - 4/10 |

The guy on the left weirded me out. I think the people in the theater thought we were stoned. We weren't though. I lol'd so hard when, in the beginning the eye patch guy yelled "illegal" into the phone. |
BATMAN - it was good action. expensive shit all around. the movie was OK. i mean, it was watchable. didn't blow my mind.
however, this: ![]() awesome! dated yes, very 70s yes, but awesome. additionally: ![]() ![]() men are pigs! but we already knew that... the movie was banned for people under 18 when it came out, but if i ever have a daughter she's watching this shit when she's 12-- as a vaccine! |
The Maltese Falcon is on tonight. TCM channel, I believe.
Any fans? I'll be up. |
