I'm feeling quite exhausted, as the past two days in work have been very busy for me. But it was fun.

what were you guys doing? a big sale? |
My work colleague was away so I was alone organising volunteers, running the shop, looking after the centre. I was looking after some children for people too (a 6-year-old girl yesterday and a 5-year-old girl today. They're really nice, and they help out in the shop, on the till and all of that). It was fun.
How's work for you at the moment? |
just a quick stop because i'm going to a show in a few minutes.
i haven't owned a bike since i was like 8, i don't like them. |

it's good, thanks, we're very busy, we have some jackass clients who are trying to get a huge price discount after the terms of our work had been established-- in other words they are trying to rip us off. but that's the risk of doing business; and as a whole, things are looking up. we never know when we're going to have money but it's always exciting. new projects on the pipeline. you were single-handledly running a shop? that's quite a challenge. i would go crazy with it! |
Shop and community centre, but I can handle it. I'm a pro. And it really is a lovely place to be.
When I have a difficult customer, I like to adopt the polite-but-amused approach. |

oh, very nice. i wish i could do that polite-but-amused thing! :D |
bye kids.
|
!"£$%!: It kind of winds them up without giving them anything they can complain about or latch onto. Top fun. And then I get to charge them more for things; as far as I'm concerned, what you pay in my shop is directly related to how pleasant a person you are.
I'm glad that business is getting better. You've been sticking at that for a good while now. Dediation and perserverence deserve to be rewarded, I always think. Everyneurotic: Goodnight. Sleep well. |
thank you thank you, yes. i could not give up on this and it's finally starting to work out.
it's funny you'd do that with the price. we do the same-- "sliding scales". the more difficult the customer, the higher the surcharge! |
i'm really glad it's all working out, !@#$%!
sebastian- that's good the kids were helpful. it's not the same, but i wish my brother was more interested in helping when i clean the house. |
In reference to the bike-speak up there... I actually just got in from a bike ride. I need a better bike.
As for the work-speak... I friggin' hope Chapters calls back! And, hello! |
Quote:

Noo, silly. I'm in Ontario, Canada.
As a bit of a funny little note... I bought the Communist Manifesto... at Chapters, of all places. How communist is THAT. And thanks! |
