I've been looking at the collections ($50 is an outrageous price), due to this thread, and now I believe I'm going to buy the Essentials DVD and I can't thank you guys enough. I had completely forgotten about MST until now.
TheDom, it seems like you got a really good deal on that DVD...On Amazon the DVD goes for $100+, while the VHS is under $10.

Hell yeah. Any of you guys remember when they'd play MST all day long Thanksgiving Day on Comedy Central? Somebody has to remember. I still have a couple of those tapes somewhere.

Haha, same here. I do the same with The Office. Sometimes, too, I like to take random lines from Star Wars and replace a word with "pants" or "balls" and use them entirely out of context. Beware the power of the PANTS.

How much was that? I think I'm gonna follow in SY's tracks and start getting cheap stuff to experiment with, instead of spending a thousand dollars and then be afraid to mess with it.

i won the bid dor 9.99 but had to pay like 80 bucks shipping and handleing. so i ended up paying under 100 dollars for it. the guy is selling a bunch more just like that one. i give it my highest reccomendation

I have tons of cheap equipment. Funnest way to go. I have 3 guitars. 1 electric two acoustic. A bass guitar. A harmonium. 2 synthesizers. and A drum machine. All for 100-150 a piece.

That's awesome. It's just that when I'm about to buy something like that, $100 suddenly feels like a lot to spend on something low-end.

What synthesizers do you have? I've been wanting to learn how to use those, but not spend a lot doing it.
