Slavo is clearly still peeved over my critique on his idea of what constitutes a gig. It may haunt him for the rest of his life. And the couple of others are just odious misogynists who deserve to be knocked down a peg or two, especially when knox is involved. :) |
u tawk hard but bet you cant handle merszbow or wolves eyez

actually, I'm just trying if I can wind up someone verbally even if English is not my native tongue. and with your case I see it's not that hard. |

you seem someone who has a talent for annoying people. you remind me of my fifteen-year old brother, and that's not a good thing. |

I only annoy people who annoy others. Genteel Death was obviously annoying knox. I'm happy in the knowledge he got a taste of his own medicine. :) |

I know that you are just being provocative, but how am I a misogynist? If anything, I tend to be partial to females, especially because they have to put up with neanderthals like you on a regular basis. Explain.....if you can. |
I subscribe to the The Green Hair Theory.

thanks! it was probably the coolest thing i did all week. i found it funny how people didn't seem to mind that it wasn't the actual author and artist signing and drawing in their copy of the book. some were a bit confused, saying things like 'i thought you were male!', but when i said 'yeah but i'm just replacing him for a while' they seemed to be perfectly ok with that :P if i went somewhere to get my graphic novel signed by the artist i'd like it to be the arist who does the drawing in my book... |
^^Yeah that is weird, I would want the actual artist to sign it if that's what I came for...so I could get money for it later in life, ya know? ha
|
Quote:
Maybe. |
after some time i got some creepy guys with blank pages asking for a drawing. they probably thought they could get some early work for free and sell it for loads when i get famous :P i was one of the rare female visitors, and later some guy joked at me: woah, you're in high resolution! he looked very surprised when i could tell him exactly what comic he stole the joke from.

Nice Ploesj! I went to a comic // illustration convention not long ago for the first time and realize how it's really a whole different world, never thought it was such a big thing. It really had a lot to do with DIY culture and Anarchism. How did you do? |

it was pretty nice, comics in belgium are quite underground and no one can live from it, so all the artists know each other and support each other. they're nice to new people since everyone can help to make comics more known to a larger audience. a lotof artists came from the art or illustration world and were influenced by french comic book artists... some people i met (or met before) and liked: brecht evens randall c. olivier schrauwen serge baeken and my boyfriend of course... |
i like yr boyfriend's stuff.

Are you a fan of Georges Remi, creator of "The Adventures of Tintin"? |

you did not say whether you were a fan though...
personally I find the Tin Tin comix, which are huge in latin america, to be dreadfully dull. |
Quote:
i like his style, the stories are a bit boring sometimes but there are these typically belgian things in it that make it funny to me... |
Quote:
Does it mean something? Tintin doesn't mean anything in french, as far as I know. |

Like how americans do not "get" Condorito? ![]() ![]() |

i don't know, there's something about belgian humor that never reaches other countries, even if they speak the same language. belgian comedy never gets popular in the netherlands. |
I have never heard the phrase "Belgian comedy" before
