acousticrock87 08.06.2008 04:46 AM

terriblecanyons convinced me to buy this, and I'm so glad I did. Also, turns out it was only $10, not $15 like I thought.

And then I spotted this used for $7.

the godspeed is very good, but what does this one I quoted sound like?
never heard of them or the album

noisereductions 08.06.2008 09:18 AM

Heatmiser was Elliott Smith's band with Sam Coones (of Quasi).

Rob Instigator 08.06.2008 09:51 AM

the underground is overcrowded!

noisereductions 08.06.2008 10:01 AM

Can you keep it like an oil well? Keep it underground, out of sight?

!@#$%! 08.06.2008 11:00 AM

bought a load of used stuff, for cheap

AWESOME:

<-throbbing gristle's "heathen earth" (on a 1991 cd)

fun:

had to

it's alright, you know, we are the earth intruders, ha ha ha

tarded, yet addictive

sue me.

plus (post only allows 4 pics): some ramones, tricky cds from the late 90s, a mazzy star cd to replace my worn out cassette, and... i think that was that.

Pax Americana 08.06.2008 11:13 AM

Yo La Tengo - Painful

noisereductions 08.06.2008 12:27 PM

Painful, Electropura, I Can Hear the Heart..., And Then Nothing... are such an incredible run of records.

noisereductions 08.06.2008 12:28 PM

*(&##^#@ or whatever your name is... Le Tigre is sweet. I'm with you on that.

The Earl Of Slander 08.06.2008 01:42 PM

I only have "I Can Hear...", which I love. Really need to get more... I've kind of been holding out for Painful, but it has thus far evaded me. Nowhere in the UK seems to stock it.

noisereductions 08.06.2008 02:16 PM

Earl, yr name is from HAUNTED. That's awesome.

The Earl Of Slander 08.06.2008 02:20 PM

Yeah, I liked the book a lot, but that name was possibly the most awesome thing about it. Now we just need a Saint Gut-Free on the board...

noisereductions 08.06.2008 02:33 PM

Funny, I convinced my wife to read it this week.

The Earl Of Slander 08.06.2008 02:36 PM

I don't feel it's Palahniuk's best work though. How'd she find Guts?

It's basically indie rock. Like someone said, it's Elliott Smith with a band.

I have a hunch you wouldn't like it, but I could be wrong. You can hear samples on iTunes.

samuel 08.06.2008 04:00 PM

Electr-O-Pura again
it's been lost for too long

I love SEAM...

acousticrock87 08.06.2008 04:16 PM

Haha you could very well like them. Give em a listen. The Fix Is In and Not Half Right are probably my favorite songs on there.

No but it's a fantastic fucking book and I really like that there is someone on here named the Earl of Slander.

Bad ass.

The Earl Of Slander 08.06.2008 06:44 PM

I guess I should probably start posting loads of misinformation about everyone's favourite bands...

Everyneurotic 08.12.2008 06:13 PM

portishead - third
portishead - the rip 12" (etched design on side b!)
p.i.l. - metal box

all vinyl.

noisereductions 08.12.2008 07:11 PM

THIRD is so fucking good it's kind of unbelievable. I mean that for real, considering the length of output hiatus and the fact that they strayed (for the most part) from their earlier formula. It's so so good.

acousticrock87 08.12.2008 08:27 PM

I just noticed that both these CDs have only 9 seconds difference in length. Weird. That is all.

Everyneurotic 08.12.2008 08:42 PM

it is awesome, third that is.

viewtiful_alan 08.12.2008 09:00 PM

Today at half price books I picked up:
