Haha I am aren't I XD. Nope I haven't picked that one up yet. But that will probably be the next one I pick up after I get Tha Carter I.
Is it actually a good album or is it just the best of that period?

noisereductions 08.14.2008 07:08 AM

I'd say its a good album. It's still that Mannie Fresh production style, but I like a majority of the tracks. CARTER I definitely was a turning point in his career though.

viewtiful_alan 08.14.2008 03:05 PM

Yeahn I still think he's gonna have a damn hard time topping Tha Carter III

viewtiful_alan 08.14.2008 07:28 PM

noisereductions 08.15.2008 07:04 AM

veiwtiful, that's exactly what I thought about Carter II, but he took his time, and look what happened.

viewtiful_alan 08.15.2008 04:04 PM

Yeah same here. When II came out I was pretty damn impressed.

Hhaa lets just hope he can get over the 'a mili' he owes in unpaid taxes not to mention being sued by the cocksuckers that make up the rolling stones.

Its wierd how much his voice has changed since his hot boys days...

xxlouiisxx 08.16.2008 03:32 PM

PJ Harvey - Rid Of Me
Patti Smith - Horses

That is so weird, because I know someone who just bought those exact two albums together on my recommendation, and she'd said she was going to start posting here. I assumed it would be her when I saw the message...

But yeah, Horses is just an absolutely fucking stunning album, and Rid of Me seems great, although I haven’t really gotten to know it fully myself.

al shabbray 08.18.2008 02:52 PM

how is the portishead?
I am a little afraid...they cant keep up with their "legend"

noisereductions 08.18.2008 03:08 PM

al, the Portishead is incredible. Trust me.

al shabbray 08.18.2008 03:17 PM

I always loved portishead, but I was thinkin that it cant be good that they are back...dunno really why, but its good to hear that I am wrong with that

noisereductions 08.18.2008 03:20 PM

The Earl Of Slander 08.18.2008 04:22 PM

Yeah I wasn't sure about the Portishead either, but I was channel surfing one night and caught some band playing on Jools Holland that seemed pretty tight and naggingly familiar, and it just kept building and building until I was totally crazy about it, and then the screen showed "Portishead - The Rip" and I was like "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! How did I not get that?". So I immediately decided to buy the album, but it took me like 3 months to actually do it. Damn that's a great track. Haven't heard beyond the first 4 tracks of the album yet, but it seems great so far...

noisereductions 08.18.2008 06:34 PM

I'm not excited about the Gza yet. But I'll get it. Because he's great.

All the tracks off of the album are streaming on his myspace and most of them are fucking great, the man truly is the Genius.

noisereductions 08.19.2008 07:17 AM

Genius... clever! haha. I'll definitely check this out. Who produced, do you know? I thought the last one he did with Muggs was actually pretty damn good. Didnt hear the remix album though.

Torn Curtain 08.19.2008 01:57 PM
