was to suggest amazon.
|
yeah, i know, but i like buying it in a store more. i'll just order it next time i'm in daytona.
|
Ok.
|
i like buying records in a store more too, but can't much since most of what i like doesn't get stock here and, if it does, it's usually ultra expensive.
so i buy online. |
There is this used bookstore I go sometimes, that has vinyl's. But I mostly go for the books.
|
i only buy online if there's some sweet deals involved. i got friend opportunity and a shirt on killrockstars for 20 or something.
there's this amazing used bookstore in daytona beach i love. it's huge, and across the street from a record store. |
I usually buy online for hard to find things.
|
krs are a rip off for shipping, second only to skin graft.
there's a bookstore on the way to the post office where my p.o. box is and they have a pile (almost literally a pile) of used vinyl but it's always outside in the sun, so i can only imagine how discolored and warped those records are, i have never stopped to look at them. |
ack! why do they keep them outside? that's terrible.
i get neat old liquor posters on allposters.com for real cheap. |
Oh that is dumb, every-e.
Jade, I stopped putting posters in my room. I want to paint my room black, and yellow. |
funny bookstore record shopping story i have. i once found a copy of the b52's debut in a bookstore in nyc for a dollar, the sleeve and jacket were in ok conditions, worn but still cool, i didn't check the record itself thought, but i bought it anyway. when i finally took the record out of the jacket, the record wasn't b52's but a live album by devo circa-"whip it" and in great conditions.
i stopped postering in my room like 6 years ago but i left the posters anyway. i've even left all the old embarrasing ones with like bon jovi and garbage and korn and stuff like that. |
ooh. i have three white walls and a blue wall. i like having posters up everywhere. it's mostly just stuff from various music/art magazines.
|
The only cd I like from garbage was their self-titled album.
|
every-e- ooh, that's rad. i bought what i thought was some christian ballad album in goodwill, opened it up, and it turned out to be the knack. nowhere near as cool but it was amusing.
same here, victor. i like them in small doses. |
Jade that is so cool, that you hve your room set-up like that.
|
i love it. i have blue trim on all four walls, too, which looks really nice.
it took forever to get my room how i want it. mostly because i'm anal about where i want pictures/posters hanging. |
i also wrote in my walls, in between the posters, mostly lyrics from radiohead, minor threat, big star, black flag. plus a bunch of anarchy symbols, pentagrams, etc.
i even put an ad iggy did for reebok, hahahaha. synth: yeah, that's the one i like, that plus like three songs from version 2.0 (i even made a tape myself with the whole album plus the three songs), everything else i think it's like their name. the knack, hahahahaha. |
I only like My Sharona by the Knack.
|
same. it's just like this band james. they have one great song ("laid") but nothing else.
|
Yeah. I need more music, but I am broke.
