niiiceee, that's a good board. Are you using that now or are you in the process of building a new one?

Feast your eyes on the new Echo Canyon! Tube'n.

And also, Lee's basement. The big wheels are something to do with part of New York's first pnematic subway tunnel. It ran for one block along Broadway between Murray and Chambers street. Just so happens that these giant wheels are still hiding under his building.

SynthethicalY 06.19.2007 08:08 PM

is echo cam on?

Danny Himself 06.19.2007 08:10 PM

I don't think so..

SynthethicalY 06.19.2007 08:11 PM

Danny Himself 06.19.2007 08:34 PM

gonna buy within the month i think. build maybe with a media box, but leaning towards this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129014

it's a big biggish but it fits 2 optical drives & 2 hard drives FTW.

Yeah I see that! The one I'm using currently I built, they're so much fun to do getting a couple of parts each paycheque and all that jazz. I went all out with my case, with easy-remove everything so it's easy to clean, and it fits 4 hard drives even though my mainboard doesn't support it. I actually somewhat regret selling it, I might just keep it and let the buyers know where they can get a better computer for cheaper.

fuckin a. don't part with your baby.

i have an editing machine i made, it's kinda like the latest incarnation of the computer i started building in 1999. nothing remains, but it's the same machine, kinda like heraclitus's river, ha ha ha. got a raid1 boot array, a raid 0 editing array, plus 2 storage drives for like 1 GB-- and 4 DVD burners. and a 2.4gHZ P4 that's still as good as new.

i'm going for monitors next. i'm ditching the old CRTs, as much as i like them, they can be a pain in the ass to cart around, and the coatings are fucked over the years, and, and, and... maybe i'll turn them into some kind of video wallpaper thing.

--

the new box im building is for web design. i don't need something so big really. just a lot of screen real estate.

jico. 06.20.2007 04:11 AM

good mornings.
you said web design?

Nice, 2.4gHZ is great compared to mine, and I don't have a single DVD drive even. My new one's for web design too, but also for designing web graphics and playing around with music programs, so I got a more expensive one. I'm with you on the LCD monitors too, they're more practical even though they don't have as good color depth. I just wish I had the kind of money to afford one. I already have two CRT's hooked up to my system (15'' + 13'') so I have a wide display area and two different resolutions at once to test pages out, so I don't have to switch all the time. It's handy!

dell makes reasonable 20" screens, and if you get 2, it's awesome.

looks very attractive for the video editing machine. oh sweetness.

ps- holy ass that 50" is insane. some day i'll be able to justify a purchase like that as "business expense"
