Trompe Le Monde on new vinyl!

I bought this on CD in 92, then lost it years later. Because I was starting to go through my vinyl phase, I never replaced it, thinking I might find it someday on LP. And waddayaknow--here it is!

Sounds really good, too. I think this is one of their underrated LPs, but it's easily a favorite of mine.

I also saw a new vinyl copy of Bossanova but passed on it because I have a good CD copy, and I wasn't feeling real spendy. Plus the cover art looked real cheesy compared to the CD, very bad reproduction, like they simply enlarged a copy of somebody's CD cover. The art in my CD is much better. For 15 bucks, I expect the LP to look at least as good as the CD copy.

I saw a perfect looking copy of Bad Moon Rising (SY) on vinyl, the Blast First label, used, for 35 bucks. But I felt real "meh" about it. It's not my favorite SY LP, I have it on CD, and like, 35 bucks?? Nah.

Didn't really buy this one but we played with this band yesterday and they gave it to us.

My Bloody Valentine Loveless/ 2nd cd the first one finally puttered out. Did Sheilds change the mix? something seems different but maybe it's just me.

I thought I had heard there was a new remixed version... BUT I was under the impression it was a 2disc set... different mix on each disc.

I'm a bit disappointed that the re-issue is just the album, without any bonus material. I'd have loved to have seen a deluxe edition with singles and session tracks. They did a brilliant version of Motorhead's "Ace Of Spades" for a Peel session once, and I'd love to hear it again.

Its an original copy, and there is only one. The color is green and white. Of the 3000 made only 200 of em were made like that.
The other 2 colors there were over a thousand of each.
I'll try and get some pictures of the record player up soon. I'm still searching for a preamp.

How does this measure up to the hype?

I think it measures up quite well. They were great live and I found the reissued self-titled today because it apparently just came out this month. Recommended highly if you like reverbed girl vocals and guitar.

Sounds great. I may pick it up on my trip to the US this month. What I've heard has a lovely Amps-y vibe, which is nothing but good in my book.

Which one? People on here are gonna flame you. But whatever. I have a handful of Bright Eyes albums that I think are alright.

Ooh! I have The Celestial Answer, which is great, and keep meaning to check out more of Hookers stuff. How is that?
