Well, they look like they should be work boots or Doc Martins or something, yet they are the same material and colour that Ugg boots are.

he is not a literary wordsmith a la Yeats or dickens, but he is hilarious, extyremely cynical, jaded beyond belief, and depressed at the same time. he writes easy american prose to read, yet his ideas are not basic at all.

I wanted to stretch in the color dept. Every shoe I have is brown. I wanted something a little more distinctive, color-wise.

I did get the Desert Treks in brown smooth leather. I'll try to post those here, too--though I'm sure the fashion unconscious teen contingent will think they're bad too.

These and the greys fit like mocassins. They are so comfortable. I highly recommend Clarks shoes. And they're very reasonable--right around the 100 buck point.
