to me, her image in the sex and the city 2 posters herald the moment when modern bourgeois woman's self image became so fractured and warped by her fear and hyper hedonism that she started subconciously making herself look like a monster. as if she had become SO insane that only an artificial and repulsive monster could satisfy the narcissistic demands of her own self image. as if she had crossed over into a realm were she was so separate from reality that her ability to pyschological function depended on actually looking like shit but being in utter denial about it. purposefully making herself look like a turd because she was so sick that she needed the standards of the image of reality itself to be warped to fit her own pyschotic conception of her self image.
