I have told this story before on here I think.

I have a friend who worked for the Austin city jail intake. He worked thegraveyard shift until 8:00 AM. His job was to process everyone who got brought in and out, so he had a desk right next to the cells.
He said the most insane thing was how many peoplewould come through arrested for drunk driving and hurting/killing someone. he said the greatest pleasure he had on that job was when the drunks woul wake up in the morning and wonder where they were and why they were in jail,. having blacked out the previous night completely, and he would tell them to their face "you were arrested for driving drunk and killing someone in a car crash last night." and watching their pathetic faces as the realization that their lives were fucking ruined, that they had been so stupid an dcareless and actually killed someone, and that they were going to go to jail for a LOOOOONG time. He said that it made putting up with the refgular drunks and junkies and pimps and whores that much easier.

it also made him paranoid about drinking and driving. mofuck will not drive after ONE drink.

There is a guy who hangs around down some underground stations and some trains in London who looks even worse than that. The first time I saw him it was in very busy station and he stopped the flow of people trying to get to the train platforms.

Well, there's a bit of a gulf between me calling someone a cunt on the internet and me taking pleasure from telling someone that, thanks to one evening's fuck up, their life as they know it is over.
