Asheville was unquestionably cool back in the forties when de Kooning was teaching at Black Mountain College. These days it has The Orange Peel, complete with redneck bouncers, oh boy! People say it's a great value for buying land and building a home or for home prices in general and that the schools and parks are good for raising a family there. I'll pass on NC in general. On that note, I do follow the Tarheels football, and, of course, the basketball though. And I think John Edwards is okay. I've been to Cat's Cradle in the Carrboro strip mall once. Saw Camper Van Beethoven. And they were super - fantastic - incredible...as always. Saw Superchunk open for Sonic Youth but that was in ATL. |
