Roundhouse support
 

Its now less than 4 weeks til the first Roundhouse show and still no word on support acts.
This means either :
1) something really special is lined up and they're keeping it under wraps til the last minute, or
2) the support is going to be really crap!

So, which is it? Someone must know something...

the Meat Puppet are going to open in Texas.

Im really hoping its Be Your Own PET, just cause ive been meaning to see them for sometime. I could kill 2 birds with one stone.

Orphan Fairytale are listed for the Glasgow support, dunno if it'll be the same..

It all seems so up in the air.
If its an American band then they would have booked other gigs/a tour seeing as theyll be over, so thats the only clue i can imagine.

AND my ticket came today, thankfully its one of the classy ones that you can keep afterwards and hang on the wall, so im delighted.

It could be someone else who's playing Electric Picnic that weekend, but the only real contenders I see there are Deefhoof (which I would find a little disappointing, personally).
The trend from other gigs seems to be bands with some history (Red Kross, Meat Puppets, Slits, etc) so hopefully there's something good up their sleeve, but time is getting pretty short.

regarding the picnic........iggy and the stooges could be there but thats just wet dream land i suppose.....

Pretty much any of these bands would be awesome. I'm sure they won't let us down.

Who are Chris Corsano and Mick Flowers? Never heard of them... I wish I was going on another night now, I'm at least a little familiar with Car Sick Cars.

corsano (the drummer) opened for SY on one of the Brussels dates last December, as a trio with Flaherty and Yeh which looked a lot like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKZhQZJX1uE
Normally I don't like this kind of music at all. But I was amazed pretty much throughout their full set, and laughing out loud for the rest. Amazed at Corsano's drumming skills, and laughing out loud for Yeh's "singing" and Flaherty's style of sax playing (I prefer smooth jazz).
I probably won't ever buy one of their albums, but if I ever get a chance to see Corsano again, I'll grab it with both hands.
So even if you won't like it, you'll still not be bored to death :D
And as a bonus, they joined SY on stage during the encore (Expressway...). Hopefully you'll get lucky too!

I've no clue who Mick Flowers is though
