Master-Dik finally getting reissued?
 

Beat On The Brat from the ep is up on the myspace page saying 1987/2008 Goofin'...seems like a possibility.

isnt this year the new material year not the reissue year?????

anyway, hope it comes out along with the dvd of typb and the corporate ghost prequel, and something really really good.

Yeah, they put Bull in the Heather and Tuff Gnarl up (Tuff Gnarl is now on my page as a result haha). WHat could it mean!? Sister? EJSTANS?!

If they did Sister i wonder if theyd have a disk 2 of Hold That Tiger instead of Master-Dik, which isnt much to write home about anyway.

Master-Dik would be way more gratifying, as it's never been on CD before. Goofin' already released a CD version of HOLD THAT TIGER, which is still not exactly difficult to come by.

actually if they were to reissue all three Sister, Master-dik and Hold That Tiger... it could fit on 2 discs as Sister and Master-dik could fit on one disc...
however idon't find this likely to actually happen.

And w/ the way Sister was recorded, to analog using all old tube equipment a remastering which today is done digitally (some correct me if i'm wrong) will do the actual intent of this album an injustice. sure it might be nice to here a spruced up highly crisp and cleaned up version of this album, but Sister was intentionally recorded to be heard in a specific way... personally its sounds best to my ears on vinyl, so i wouldn't be against say a 180grm vinyl remaster reissue.

No I don't think Hold That Tiger is going to be on an eventual Sister reissue as it's still easily findable... Master-Dik is hard to find on the other hand. What makes a Sister reissue possible is that Master-Dik is so short that it's probably going to be included as a bonus to another reissue... Or it will be completed with tons of new material. Maybe a Destroyed Room vol 2 ?

For years I've been wondering why there's no SY Peel Session album. I remember starting such a thread a while back. I just think it'd make a great album, and we talked about how the Pixies one and PJ Harvey for example are great great albums.

i just went on the profile and clicked on "beat on the brat" on the player and it is listed as 1987/2008 which is a definite confirmation that it's getting reissued, however, tuff gnarl only says 1987, unless they haven't updated it.

master dik is actually quite easy to find on vinyl. you can get a copy for less than $10.00 on ebay most any week. I have three.

goofin' is acting the fool, playing around, or getting so happy over something that you get goofy and silly.

i know what the term means lol, i was referring to the label, is there a difference between Geffen and Goofen?

It's Goofin', and yes, it's a difference. Geffen it's a major label, now part of Universal Music Group and Goofin' it one of SY's independent labels which is releasing vinyl versions of their regular major label albums (like the Geffen ones) and exclusive stuff like Hold That Tiger official bootleg, etc
