Who else has figured out that the new Free Kitten album is wonderful? It took a few listens for it to click but, when it did, GEEZUS!
If you take all the Kim songs from this, you have pretty much what I want the next Sonic Youth record to sound like...

My favourite track is The Poet.

on first listen i thought it sounded very disjointed even for the kim/julie dynamic, but after a few listens it has grown on me

not sure which song i like best

(edit: after listening to it again i am thinking Monster Eye)

I'm really up for hearing this. Think it'll be my next purchase when I get paid next week. What style is it? I know it sounds backward looking but I wish they'd just plug into some big fuck off amps in a cellar and RAWK OUT. Not that it's gonna happen, but. Ya know.

seasick is a great song. always ends up getting stuck in my head

i think i've only posted on this board, like, once or twice but i just wanted to express how much i enjoy this album. on that note, does anyone have tabs (or at least know the tuning) for 'seasick'? And, while I'm here, does anyone know if Inherit is coming out on vinyl and if they're gonna do any touring?

D'you know this is a little spooky... Mr Frost you have almost word for word, transcribed my current thoughts about this wonderful LP. I have quite literally had it on constant repeat since it came out and I still can't get enough of it.

My fave is also The Poet... with Erected Girl a close second.

This album sounds like it was recorded over a weekend, and that's not a dis.

Is Kim really singing, "Yr hot, yr kool, yr hot" on Surf's Up!!?? I don't know why but that slays me!

totally sweet record, took me by surprise! great summer sounds, looking forward to getting it on wax.

Pretty mediocre album. I'd grade it 6 out of 10

i love this album.

it feels like the reason why they wouldnt tour is because they probably forgot how to play those songs already

I left my copy on the train home... I'll find out tomorrow if someone has nicked it.

I've already posted on this numerous times, but I just keep listening to it and I can't get sick of it. Impossible to choose a favorite (though I'd say "Monster Eye" if you pushed me), as they all balance each other out so well. Sometimes I'll listen to a few Kim songs repeatedly, then when I'm in the mood for a little more structure and piss & vinegar I'll listen to some Julie. But nothing is better than listening to the whole thing, uninterrupted from start to finish.
