Imagine early a more playful, poppy, and minimal versions of the Residents meets a vibe similiar to some of those early Sun City Girls recordings. Extremely bizarre but really, truly tunefull -- weird pop music. That's all you need to know. Someone once described them as "Harry Partch making dance music". If you're into Residents, Snakefinger, etc. you'll love this. Here's this album:

Behold the Arctopus have some alright stuff. I was pretty excited about them a while back but they don't do anything for me nowadays. Can't imagine them being good live.

Behold The Arctopus aren't great, but I think Colin Marston from that band is a very creative individual.
