Sonic Youth’s soundtrack to their original score of the French film ‘Simon Werner a Disparu’ will be released in 2011 as cd/lp and download. The download will be available in late January with the cd + lps to follow soon after. Track list, cover art and more to appear here soon.

Also, I took my wife on a date once to RTI in Camarillo, CA the premier vinyl pressing plant in the US. It was totally awesome, and I saw a whole cartload of Daydream Nation deluxe boxes. Wish I had a camera at the time. They were really, so cool to see all that stuff in person. Also, the guy giving the tour saw my enthusiasm for the DN pressing and said steve shelly was one of their favorite clients.

I think it looks beautiful. I wouldnt change it at all.

Forgive my complete ignorance on this, but are these mostly instrumentals? Or....you know....songs, with vocals?

Wow, the trailer music is amazing.

I'm pretty sure they'll all be instrumentals; or at least, not proper songs, there might be some spoken parts, here and there.

I'm glad they've finally released a new SYR!

I'm honestly big time pumped for this. The trailer music reminds me of something from The Destroyed Room, which is totally one of my favorite SY albums.
